  1. Looking very interesting, I'll certainly have to keep an eye on it as it may make getting to work rather tricky, was interesting enough last night with the heavy snow!

Anyway you can see the system now pulling SSE so a good chunk of this region is going to get some more snow in the next few hours, well worth watching!

Kold, whats it like in Aveley, any ideas? Supposed to be playing football in that area tomorrow.

  2. Yes I feel much better this morning.

Whats encouraging is looking at the radar for N England and then looking at the GFS predictions. The showers in the N are more widespread and penetrating further inland than the GFS suggested. Some have even made it across the Pennines!

Can't wait for this afternoon with kickoff probably around 3pm onwards.

Dave, whats the probability of reloads after the weekend? I know there was some talk of it but haven't heard anything lately past sunday?
  3. I'm not exactly writing winter off but i know the feeling well. Really thought this would be the one and i keep looking for answers as to why the ECM has gone pear shaped. Is it struggling for lack of similar synoptics for December? Who knows. All i know is i try to keep a level head but it's so hard when stunning charts appear run after run. It's my fault but i told everyone were in for snow and now i'm gonna look like an idiot! Typical let down again. Don't know why i expected anything else. Model watching is definately bad for your heath. Off to you tube to watch Ian Mccaskill's Feb 1991 forecast to cheer me up.

  4. I switched on Sky Sports as soon as I read your message..... Keano's coming home...let's hope it gets done..what a brilliant day! :(

Strange thing.....tonight's game Bradford v Darlington could still be on, despite the snow they've had.....but tomorrow's Arsenal v Cardiff game is already off!!!

In the old days I remember Arsenal used to be one of the first with undersoil heating. Perhaps they forgot to instl it at the Emirates :)

But it demonstrates just how much snow London has had. I have NEVER heard of a game at a top flight London club being called off for snow the DAY BEFORE the game. :o

They cancelled it for the H&S of fans apparently. Sensible i suppose.

Snowing fairly heavily again now, i wonder if Tesco sell sledges??!!

  5. Been snowing all morning here...snowing pretty decently at the moment....but is this the stuff from France or simply the showers that will give way to heavy snow (how much have I loved hearing that forecast!) merging together?

    Fellow Spur!!!

This is just light showers before the main EVENT!!!!! (Sorry, couldnt resist). Just got a text from the main band of snow from France - he said he's just stopping at City Europe to get some cheap Stella and fags and will be over to dump on us all!

  6. Snowing fairly hard again here and from what i can gather this is not even the start of the main event.

Nick S, if you are still around can you confirm that the system waiting in the wings has just left Paris? Thats what i see.

What a great day! Sitting here with a cup of coffee and a cigarette, watching the snow fall and have just seen that Robbie Keane is coming home!!! C'mon you Spurs!
