    Lower edge close the coast is disintegrating...not a good sign for Tyneside. All looking to be making land in Northumberland now..... could change

    Well well well. Get the cold in first and winds coming off the sea. E then NE now SE ! This is going to be the most significant snow event of this spell anywhere in the region.....thats if you are in the firing line. Slow moving means more accumulation. The band of snow is growing fast Wouldnt be surprised a flash weather warning is issued....

    Radar showing more organised showers heading towards Newcastle surrounding area. Could be significant if they hit you. Showers intensifying before they hit land...

    Nice heavy snow here now. Big flakes. I have often seen in the past, once you get reduction in wind speeds like now, if you get hit by decent showers, can put 2" down no problem
