Today is the hottest day of 2005 so far here with a temperature of 17.9c, 0.1c above the maximum. Very pleasant day, all the people are piling out of the pubs already, very sad.

I'll take two.
Good luck with the chase Matt, hope to see lots of photos/videos when you get back.
Current temperature is 12.9c with 87% humidity.
Just had a heavy shower which the raingauge says was 6mm/h
That's very weird, temperature now 12.8c and 93% humidity. Humidity is rising rapidly. Even more weird is that I stand outside and I can actually see my breath outisde.
You managed to see "convective" but missed "top" spelt "tope".
I've got a picture...
A gust of wind.
Sorry. I'll keep my camera with me at all times, I hold Paul responsible if I crash whilst trying to take a photo.

Plenty to choose from there.
I find the Nowcast one reliable, although I've not really checked it lately.
The best thing to do is when there's a thunderstorm detected and there's strikes on the map then try and match it up with the radar, where there's lots of strikes in the same location as heavy rain on the radar then that's going to be the most acurate detector.
Doesn't look like we'll reach the maximum anymore, cloud has really built up the past 15 minutes and the sun has been completely blocked now. Temperature has dropped to 15.9c.
A very nice day here if a little hazy again. Currently 16.9c Yesterday's maximum was 17.3c, so could well beat that, not too sure about the year maximum of 17.8c though. Bit hazy, humidity is 49% and pressure is 1008mb.
A very nice day. Current temperature is 17.3c Humidity: 47% Slightly hazy, I think we could have broken the 17.8c record had the sky cleared completely, but still a pleasant day.
I haven't included them because I imagine most people would already know where they are. I included all of the N-W lightning detectors. Another good website is http://www.estofex.org/ And here we have a brilliant feature courtesy of Net-weather, it's the satellite imagery direct from NOAA orbiting satellites: http://www.net-weather.co.uk/index.cgi?act...arts;type=nwsat
