    Dustbin men have just gone straight past us again, thats now 2 weeks worth of rubbish on the streets now as we arent even supplied with bins! Second City my a***! Havent even stopped along the main road. Me thinks someones trying to get back home early!!

    I think we will be getting more though, im keeping an eye of the snow as it goes Brecon and Black Mountains. If it makes it over there quite heavy we may be in for a few more hours? Careful if you are out driving early morning in a few hours down side roads, there was no snow left on my road, now you cant see the kerbs.

    Yeah, I didnt expect anything at the beginning of the night! Seems as though its dying out just miles east of Birmingham.

    Nice! We have about 2 inches of fresh snow, possibly 3-4 altogether on 'old snow'

    Shame it split into 2... my fun shall me over soon sadly, although its dropped quite abit of snow, do you think the second part of it (what was your first part, but split into 2!) will make it here in North B'ham?

    Gritters are making no difference here, the rate the snow is falling at its just getting covered by more snow.

    2nd time in 3 days the BBC have got it wrong! Probably more for you guys down South with that disappointment over the weekend aswell for you that didnt get snow after the weather warning.. Good to see the whole central/southern UK celebrating over alot of snow! Im keeping an eye on the kerbs, its certainly making progress!!

    Life! I would be on 'Midlands Thread' but nobody is awake I'd just like to share my joy that within 5 minutes of it snowing cars had a covering, side roads did too. Now the previously gritted main road is now covered in snow also, and its only been snowing 25 minutes. I just hope this thing can stall for a little while over me otherwise with the speed its picking up now, it could be over within an hour or 2.

    Oh my god... 2 minutes ago we didnt have snow, now theres a covering on cars again and the road is going white once more, its snowing, but for how long..

    Gritters have now been out, preparing for tonight I am prepared to apologise for my way off prediction of only a dusting, I think we may see more.. I didnt think the snow would reach, but it has. Im sorry! But im glad I was wrong!! Although I think it'll begin to break up now. I expect snow by 2AM.

    Sky News are also forecasting only a dusting for the Midlands.. South West Midlands may see a little bit more than 1 cm or 2 but for the rest its a dusting. This really isnt worth staying up for folks, its moving so slow, its going to weaken as it gets closer, please dont say its a 'non-event' this was never going to be an event! I do love snow but I cant see beyond a dusting either, I agree with Sky and BBC News on this occassion.

    Apparently its going to start to fizzle out as it gets to Birmingham.. :lol: Only a cm or 2.. I'd rather that then be one of those poor buggers in Haiti at the moment.

    Yeah it was that, it lasted for ages even though that doesnt look very big with how fast its moving. It lasted a good 25-30 minutes at least.
