It's really picked up over the past 20 minutes. Snow chucking down.. and settling! Just uploading an HD lamp-post watch clip to Youtube now.
-
Snowing here now.

Just noticed that the MetO warnings for Cornwall and Pembrokeshire have been completely removed. Other warnings remain much the same except for less probability for some areas (60% rather than 80%).
-
From what I'm reading the confidence levels seem a lot higher than all the marginal events of the recent past, at least for my location. The MetO giving a 'high risk' and probability of 80% is making me worry more about the possible disruption than being disappointed for once!
-
MetO warnings updated. Is that a new extreme warning for Swindon/Wilts?
Edit : Dorset extreme warning removed!

Am I right in thinking that it's not a good idea to read too much into individual GFS runs this near the event? I seem to remember that the GFS has never been great at nailing down the short-term specifics for this sort of event.

The GEFS ensembles are stuck on the 12z again. They've been otherwise quite reliable for the last month though, but when they do get stuck it's always on the Saturday 12z.

GEFS ensembles are stuck on yesterday's 12z.

It's stuck again, on yesterdays 12z.

Note - contains some swearing!
Nice video, and I can't be the only one who loves it when you can hear how excited the people behind the lens are.

Yep, I posted about the lack of sferics on the NW Radar earlier
None of the 4 I saw here this morning showed up either.
-
I can see very definite and obvious rotation to my South.
-
The view of that line that just passed over here about 10-15 minutes back :
-
I forgot to say in the excitement - there were 5-6 lightning strikes and thunder from it!
-
I looked out back about 5-10 minutes ago and had that heart-sinking feeling that I might have missed a funnel, because the sky looked absolutely evil and very turbulent. Grabbed my camera and ran off down the road, although nothing but some pics of the sky. I'll post them in a minute because they really do show how impressive that cell is! Anyone to my West, heads up!
-
Just heard a rumble of thunder.
-
GEFS ensembles need another kick!
-
Stuck again! (still on 18z)
-
OK, thanks. Sometimes I haven't posted because I worried it might be annoying, but I'll do so if it happens in the future. Hopefully not though.

The GEFS ensembles are stuck again.
Is it annoying me posting here every time they freeze? If someone wants to give me a username to send a PM to instead when it next happens then I'll gladly do that.

GEFS ensembles need another taste of boot!

Gif is usually best for screen caps, size/quality wise.
Sorry, I should have qualified that - best for screen caps as long as you know the right settings, otherwise go with JPG.
