    Great pics. I just had the very dark skies, then rain. Had the sky light up orange about 5-6 times and distant booms of thunder. Better than nowt I suppose lol

    Heard 3 distant rumbles and it’s gone so dark here and windy. The atmosphere feels like it’s changing.

    Starting to rain here now. Getting closer but I bet it ends up dying a death! Even some distance night time lightning would be nice except my son won’t go to bed then as he’ll be too scared to be on his own lol

    It’s gone really dark here too in Wrexham and birds tweeting like crazy.

    The line of storms seem to be moving slowly but surely in my direction, but does anyone reckon the changes are high enough to actually get to me. The humidity is unbearable right now. Am hoping that if it doesn’t quite reach here that it will last long enough after dark to see distant lightning

    Yeah I think so. I did see some flashes but the only one very high cloud to cloud. Didn’t see any CG’s though. The streets were deluged and first time my phones ever shown a severe rain warning on it lol. Still raining now. My mother and father in law live in Telford btw, in Madeley

    Yeah I thought so too but it was very poor for visible lighting. Maybe too elevated to see. The rain was biblical though. Everywhere was flooded within 20 mins. Bit of a let down today over all though in honesty and it’s still so humid.

    Absolutely belting with rain here and quite regular rumbling. Not seen a huge amount of lightning

    Constant rumbling from the cell to towards Overton/Bangor on Dee towards my south. Heading my way. Rumbling getting louder and my ears are ringing.

    It’s really trying here now. Also had some higher convection with dark bases but they quickly collapsed so thinking they are trying with all their might to break the cap. It’s 27c now and so humid but a hot breeze now and again. Air feels absolutely ripe! Only bad thing is my hay fever is awful

    I’ve been down to Borehamwood today watching Wrexham and staying over night in the Premier Inn at Heathrow Terminal 4. Off to Spurs v Newcastle tomorrow as got free corporate hospitality tickets. Looking pretty good for some bonus thunder and lightning as well!

    Got some good pics of the lightning from the second storm we had this afternoon. Sky was evil looking. Had nothing all summer then 3 storms in 3 days! Lol
