Just had a good show over Wrexham. Quite infrequent but had some gorgeous pink crawling lightning and booming thunder. Missed the best one as I was too stunned and in awe and just missed the record button in time, however got the thunder instead lol. Is the first pic of the cloud the squall line? It didn’t half move across the sky and then massive winds and a monsoon for a time before the lightning came. Fabulous! Excuse my awful voice and my son shouting. First distant rumble of thunder heard from the cell towards Shropshire. I’m standing in the garden and not yet told my little lad who is going to be terrified. He hates night time storms.

Please let me get at least a flash and a bang. Not had anything all year so far

Haha if we play like on Saturday I’ll be leaving Chesterfield with 0 points and 0 thunder/lightning, then I definitely will be one naggy cow lol

I guess I’m being too greedy expecting 3 points and a few cracks of thunder lol. I’ll take just the 3 points tomorrow night tbh Definitely enjoying the Prosecco atm though!

I am shattered! We stayed in Yeovil Saturday night for two nights as we went to watch Wrexham at Yeovil on Saturday. Today we went back home via Telford to see my in-laws. Tomorrow going via Manchester to Chesterfield to watch Wrexham away there. Was just hoping for a bit of thundery activity in between but I must be the most unlucky person lol. On the Prosecco atm to numb the pain lol

I agree and I travelled between Yeovil, Bristol, Gloucester, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Telford and Wrexham today and still seen Jack s**t. Me is not a happy bunny lol. Tomorrow I’m going to Manchester and Chesterfield and probably still not see anything

Typical of my luck today

I’m at my in-laws in Telford atm waiting to see if the storms on the Welsh border/Hereford move anywhere towards here, before going back home to Wrexham. My hubby is moaning at me because he wants to go home. Is it worth me hanging on or will those storms not make it here? I'm currently peed off as earlier today I was down Somerset way and missed those storms around Warminster by a couple of hours lol

Some interesting skies right now but says it’s only going to rain. Can’t see if the pictures are any good cos sweats dripping in my eyes and my sunglasses are steamed up. I hate the weather in this country

Same here. Just need things to fire up and move north east and I’ll be a happy bunny. It’s so oppressive but I’m feeling I’m just going to be disappointed so not getting my hopes up too much.

Wondering if this lot moving through mid wales will make it to my neck of the woods in north east wales. I’ve had a most disgusting day working from home sitting in a pool of constant sweat. I need this atmosphere to go boom now. My head is banging! Lol

Am I right that looking at the charts the risk of thunder from Tuesday night into Wednesday looks non existent for us now? I’m feeling a bit gutted again right now

Feeling quite hopeful that we’re going to get some clacks and bangs after the crazy couple of days heat forecasted for us in Wrexham. Hoping for similar of the last decent night time storm we had this time two years ago! I was let down a few weeks ago when it looked odds on, so please weather don’t let me down this time!

My hubby is at my sons football tournament in Mynydd Isa and this is approaching him now. Just gone through Wrexham with just heavy rain.

Not long had this heavy shower pass over. Was electrified when it moved through mid Wales. Not even had a slight rumble here today

How I feel today

I’ve got the Home and Dry app as well and that did say all day we didn’t have much chance if anything of a storm. I refused to believe it. Guess I will from now on. Been 2 years since the last decent one I saw and even that was over Cheshire. Then I had to go to my in-laws in Telford the following day to see a corking one there. We used to get some amazing ones when I was a child in the 80s. Nowadays mostly a let down. Gutted I am cos I really thought it was on for today.
