  1. Hi Crimsone, If you have taken my comments personally then I apologise in public to you. The case that I was making is that we (including me!) should all try to critically examine our views. One trap that we can all fall into is in relying on potential correlations between two or more pieces of data. My understanding is that you believed that there is a correlation between population growth and temperature increase. I only asked you to explain your view with historic data so that we can all debate this particular issue by seeing if there is a correlation. I don't do point scoring. SR
  2. If overpopulation is a contributory cause to AGW, then please explain the periods of global warmth since 3000BC. It would be great to see a graph of population with temperature to illustrate your point.
  3. It is clear that the real motives of some of the AGW believers is in mass genocide. See http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/april...nofgenocide.htm As an aside, imho overpopulation is not the problem. However, there is a serious problem with access to land and community currency with which to exchange goods and labour in the global south.
  4. Here's my contribution in favour of solar activity being the explanation or the main explanation for the current global warming. An article by THEODOR LANDSCHEIDT on the solar cycle with an interesting correlation of activity coinciding with sacred numbers (i.e fibonacci number sequence). http://bourabai.narod.ru/landscheidt/consider.htm An article by DR. ALEXEY N. DMITRIEV on Solar Warming but with an emphasis on magnetics. http://www.tmgnow.com/repository/global/planetophysical.html

  17. Re 1987 My parents come back home from an evening out around 11.30pm and said it was very windy Woken up by the noise around 3am, saw large tree almost bent downwards in the SSW severe gales. Still quite vivid. Woke up to a garden in a mess with many side fences blown down. The Jan 1990 day time severe gales were also memorable especially the warnings in London of falling scaffolding, masonry and trees.
