    You didn t have any freezing rain problems... 1 inch glaze on the trees higher up never seen it that thick before..

    Blizzards last night as winds picked up gales btween 5 and 6am extra 5 inches.. Ice storm aswell last night 1 inch thick glaze on trees higher up.. Scary sound of branches snapping from here.. Never seen nothing like it before all that freezing rain..and gales. Tree blown down 80 branches broken off what a mess... An eg I have took photos but this isn t it..

    A day when the kitchen sink gets thrown into the mix.. A min of -0.9c and a max of 2.5c dropped to 0.4c now.. Heavy snow first thing and 8 inches of snow drifting all morning just steady.. Snow eased off then midday flakes come down real fast like frozen snow then a very heavy burst or snow shower...Freezing fog first thing,then much more fog this afternoon.. Rain came after 1pm drizzle dry gaps...Late afternoon freezing rain or freezing drizzle.. East wind..

    Thats unbelievable well we have freezing rain so the top of the snow has a glaze on it.. Certainly can t go by the snow/sleet radar some gremlin got in that I think..

    bbc weather mentioned a risk of freezing rain for a time but that was wales more snap.. Hills of shropshire too as of course they ve got it I can see them from here well not today its freezing fog aswell.

    It is net weather map.. I ve done something wrong.. Those are the snowdonia mountains on the left why all the pink.. Wind has picked alot.. Certainly won t be no drifting now,until the next batch of snow comes tonight..

    I hope its snow with the heavier pulse,because that freezing rain did arrive up higher in that very cold wind.. Not freezing here yet.. Why is this radar showing snow under mild upper air.. Today is certainly going to be one to remember..

    Not very good if theres freezing rain top of the snow is a sheet of ice.. Been up the top and ice glaze 0.6c here.. Come back snow quick..

    Thick fog here the rain arrived soon after 1.30ish showers.. Temp is fluctuating today seems brighter sometimes but still foggy then darker temp drops to 1c..

    Snowing where you are thats a good sign.. Rained here or drizzle after my last post at 1pm.. Will it be cold enough by 9pm here or 10pm..

    Heaviest snowfall of the winter by 8 to 1.. 8 inches of snow.. Just had a very heavy snowburst temps dropped before it came 2.5c to 1c.. Closest I ve ever seen this..

    Morning started at -1.1c and cloudy.. Didn take long for the snow to come ECM was bang on yesterdays 12z run.. Covering of snow and its drifting thats all I asked for... East wind to the rescue 0.5c now..snowing light to moderate..

    I was looking for a big snow event,I couldn t remember exactly when it was but after looking I now know.. We were not in exactly cold air to begin with here... OK it was december but no difference to march for getting snow..these days.. This was a huge amount of snow this gave but a few boughs broke off bit damp to say the least.. A different pattern to whats coming up but colder air dug back in later.. I just remember this one quite well. Thursday..

    I ve missed that east wind.. And it starts tomorrow.. That NE wind was a damp squid late february..but anything better than a SWly in feb.. Had a slight patchy dusting of snow first thing... And a a light shower,and a soft hail shower this afternoon..

    If that wasn t enough the UKMO shows another low which could slide further south and much colder Nly coming in after..
