Last 3 out of 4 aprils have given us a modest 3 inches of snow still except for 2021 winter last day of january did give 4 inches and a blizzard but it was a bit damp underneath..April seems to deliver,so its late february and Marche s turn to bring the heaviest snowfall of the winter this year,its overdue..

What spring 1999 heavy april snowfalls 2 of them heaviest snowfalls of the winter by far,same goes for april 2000. Spring 2006 very cold first 2/3 March.. Spring 2013 that record cold spell and record snowfall came at a time I ve never seen before unprecidented.. Spring 2018 THE BEAST FROM THE EAST...say no more exceptional..

Is this winter going to be as cool as 2005-06..

Second coldest night of the week here -3.0c now with freezing fog.. But it looks like the midlands is waay colder than that at -7c.. 0.0c now..

Mildest day of this week 4c.. Tumbling now though..

More of a westerly breeze last night temps hovering around 0c..now 2.7c.. Very slight thawing off the tin roof shade,hardly dripping yet..

This will be the longest january cold spell for 10 years.. Had much more snow then of course with the drifting snow from the east..

Nothing special about this NWly for snow showers winds too light snow showers keep dying out.. But today is colder..

It ll be nice to have some very frozen surfaces from now still a partly covering of snow around here,green other side wind and cloud thawed that.. Sun too weak to thaw much... 2.7c max today so a bit colder thn forecast 1c last I looked and clear..

If your looking at sunspots March 1989 was the peak with the best northern lights displays ever seen in m recent times..seen all the way into africa..That was the highlight of my life seeing that.. And then we had a very hot summer with record temperatures of 32c..

So we are looking at christmas day at the earliest for the next cold snap and possibly a white christmas you only need a few flakes.. CFS..and GEM gives you a little hope..
