    We,ve had about an extra inch on top of the remaining 6-7 inches from yesterday am. Not bad but had hoped for more. Might even have to go to work :lol: It is snowing fairly steadily now.

    Morning all Heavy snow in Market Harborough overnight and still it comes down. At least 8" in my garden where the sun didnt thaw the last dumping. Will it turn to rain before long? Perhaps one of you experts can give us a finite answer.

    Just had a reasonably heavy snow shower in Sth Leicstershire. Only netweather predicted it!

    Just woken up in Mkt Harborough and dont seem to have had any thaw to speak of. Still about 5-6" of lying snow. Will be a thaw today and tomorrow though before the prospect of more dumps later in the week. Exciting stuff

    Drove from Market Harborough with no snow to Leicester with lots of snow this morning. Usually the other way round! Been at home in Harborough for 2 hours and its snowed constantly. We now have about 10 cms. Hope the sleet doesnt reach here. We are 130m above sea level so fingers crossed.

    Snowing heavily in Market Harborough. I would guess 2" - 2.5 " so far.

    Started to snow in Market Harborough on Leics / Northants border.

    Really heavy hail storm in Market Harborough at the moment. Turned the lawn white. Lets hope its a taste of things to come.

    Woke up at 5.30 to a good covering of snow in Mkt Harborough. Turned to rain about 20 mins ago and is disappearing gradually.

    Amazing blizzard in Leicestershire about 45 mins ago. Temp dropped from 5 to 0 in minutes and horizontal snow that settled to about 2" in 10 mins on the high ground near Mkt Harborough

    About 3 - 4 inches in my back garden in Mkt Harborough yesterday - the most I've seen since I moved there in 1997. Freezing rain yesterday evening and freezing fog this morning with temps at -3. Drive 15 miles north to Leicester and no fog, +1 and dwindling snow. Amazing what a difference 120 extra feet above sea level makes

    -2 and bright sunshine in Mkt Harborough. Few clouds bubbling up but dont expect any ppn here.........unless someone knows any different.

    I've just heard on Talksport that freezing conditions and blizzards are forecast from next Wednesday onwards. Have I missed something or is this the normal woeful, sensationalist forecasting we always hear this time of year?

    Morning everyone, What hope for a reasonably pleasant weekend. BBC reckon its going to be grim midweek and improving towards the end but they struggle to predict yesterdays weather accurately!
