  1. And according to the BBC @Southern Storm you are now officially an "Onlooker"!
  2. Morning All an overcast start to the day, can't say that the rain was intense or large in volume, as the graph shows it was neither.
  3. The "zoom" view of the inbound with radar turned on showing precip.
  4. Rather than duplicating everything, as there is already a storms thread, I've deleted my comments. Meanwhile peaking at 15.0°C at: 14:46 here, off out to put me tomatoes in the greenhouse, and see how my seeds are coming on.
  5. Comment noted in the "forecaster" article on the Bmth Echo, which said ""In some places, most likely over northern and eastern parts of the warning area, there is a chance that rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms and frequent lightning." Suggesting a miss for us.
  6. Hedging my bets as it looks currently between 01:00 and 03:00, however plenty of time for it to ramp up, fade or just rain, so time to review tomorrow evening. Pity we can't turn the Boscombe webcam to face the IOW, damn.
  7. Morning All, another cracking start, plenty of good sunshine, admittingly its looking like a going hill sort of day, ah well. The overnight low only just managed to hit single digits last with the low of 9.8°C at: 05:16, currently 13.5°C, RH77% and a freshening breeze from the SE. From Above, we are just on the edge of the cloud On Golden sands, the edge of the thicker cloud band visible on this mornings shot
  8. A fine dry and sunny day, the breeze having picked up around lunchtime and this afternoon, but still around 14.0°C.
  9. Morning All, a fine dry sunny start to the day as the cloud begins to gather to west, but I think we may just be too far west for the rain that affecting the western coasts. the overnight low of 4.7°C at: 01:22 has risen to 12.1°C, RH77% and a light SW'ly breeze with a few clouds at an altitude of 2,000 ft and scattered clouds at an altitude of 2,500 ft. From Above
  10. Ee by 'eck, there's nowt beats the smell of good horse manure compost in the sun or the boot of a warm car...
  11. Morning All, the sun is trying its hardest to break through warming things up after the overnight low of 4.6°C at: 05:55, currently 8.6°C, with RH92% and light air movement f4rom the NW. From Above On Golden sands, blue sky breaking through
  12. This whole area of rain seems to have extended further west, than forecasted initially, chucking it down at the moment.
  13. Aligns more to the initial MetO forecast, I didn't really expect to see anything for this (the supposed feisty part) of the southerly surge, heading more to the eastern side of the UK.
  14. @Mapantz like you I'm struggling to see how the forecast from the Met Office earlier today really reflects what is happening out there. The inbound low they suggest will move across southern Uk. Right now it's way off their 16:00 forecast for the area. Forecast Actual
  15. The rain is still some way down in the Channel, so you might get get lucky. Meanwhile down here, the overnight low of 5.8°C at: 06:08 has ramped up to 6.5°C , RH96% and light air movement from the E, with scattered clouds at an altitude of 500 ft and broken clouds at an altitude of 2,200 ft. From Above On Golden sands
  16. jy Right I'm off to mow the lawn. As it's not raining here, I wonder if I take my time it might start again?
