  1. Sounds to me like your looking for more of a data logger with an internet capability, and I'm sure those I've seen are are way more more than the money you are suggesting to spend.

I cant for the life of me remember where I saw something along the lines of what you describe. Time to hit the internet and see if I can locate it again.

  2. One might say it was a sh*te day, in fact many did, especially those down for the Bmth Airshow. Previous years, folks were burnt alive sitting on th beach watching the displays, not so this year, low cloud and constant drizzle was the order of the day, absolutely hammering profits.

    Weatherwise we currently have:

    Temp 18.3°C

    DP 16.6°C

    RH 90%

    Wind 16.3 mph SW

    Rainfall 0.5mm

    1018.3mb falling very slowly

As for me it was that kinda rain that's great to have, slow consistent drizzle that just soaks into the hard baked ground, mmm mmm, nice

  3. As they move around the coastline, they are beginning to appear in Bournemouth, with the Lancatser and a SPit (I think) just flown in over the beach & pier area in Bournemouth, ready for the show starting in town tomorrow. Local estimates have it suggested at1million visitors to the town over the next 4 days.

More grockles, like we don't have enough already

  4. Afternoon All, a pleasant surprise whilst looking out the window across Poole Bay, a Lancaster bomber and a Spitfire (I think) just cruised across the pier and beach area.

SO for the weather we have:

    Temp 20.1°C

    DP 9.0°C

    RH 49%

    Wind 4.5 mph SW

    1008.8mb STEADY

    ConditionsL Partly cloudy

  5. Had an absolute belter of a shower around 15:45, large droplets of rain.

Without being ageist it was comical to see the folks on the bowling green, first go for some light pac-a-mac to put over their whites, and then scurry like hell as the heavens opened. Play resulted shortly after the last drop vacated the area :cold:

  6. Clear down here in Dorset, the best in years, still lots of moisture in the air, as proven by a plane taking off from the airport with it's lights on showing a full beam path as it flies over.

Still, cant complain, clearest in years.

Seen some short really visible flares and a couple of very long track meteorites.

Sure it will improve as the night goes on, but for me the eyelid fairy is working her spell :)

  7. Well it was looking good here for viewing but its now full of cloud again and i cannot work out if it will clear or not later on by the radar

    Chris

Not surprised as radar shows precip not cloud.

Any of these set to hit earth?

Considering their size, they are really only particles so there's no impact from these, as they burn up in the atmosphere.

  8. Interesting the meteorite count has dropped in the last few hours, a dip before the peak, Hmm who knows!

Cloud has built here. Been outside with the hairdryer but it isn't working. :drinks:

    Secret

Go outside, drop you trousers, that'll scare most things away.

PS You can keep your clouds it's partially clear here so a clear evening would be nice for the first time in years.

  9. Well John and I are hoping for fine weather. At least I am because John doesn't know yet that have just tried out the tent and not only were the tent pegs missing but they had also lost some of the tent poles, So unlike Paul's tent our tent requires being lashed. Get get to watch the stars yet.

    Tom

Tom, if the inhabitants are lashed, they won't care about the state of the tent, lashed or no pegs :whistling:
