  1. I'd say £350 is out of my price-range ATM, but that La Crosse looks quite good. I'd like to stick around with Oregon for a bit, but it's certainly #1 currently.

EDIT: In fact, I've made my mind. I'll have the WMR80, as it has pretty much everything I need, pressure, dew point, heat index, temp., humidity, forecast, wind stats etc.

I'd of loved the WMR200, but it is unfortunately on the rather expensive side. Decision made drinks.gif

    Wise choice in some ways.

I've run a LaCrosse now for 7 years, and only replaced the wind sensor in that time as the original wind sensor was worn out.

However, the spurious wind spikes it gives really pee me off, as each time I have to go and correct the damn data.

I have run WD all that time and never changed, so once I hit the 21st century with a Davis unit, I can at least get my historical data over for continuous data for the past X years.

  2. As much as I'd love to be there, I have a wife and three dogs to put in kennels, so it gets pricey for a one night stand!

Even if I take the wife with, kinda like very costly for the doggies, so please excuse me and the missus from this event this time round.

P.S. Those that know us, don't even mention to her I suggested the kennels for the weekend, else it'll be a self exploding tornado in the making :whistling:

  3. All this talk about the new series makes me jealous, my download is so slow I get 3 seconds wait 3 seconds view 3 seconds ........or wait for the part download which takes 10+minutes then watch the clip.

Seems like I will have to stop reading this thread and wait until it appears on UK TV......sob :cray:

  4. Ah, Paul M, the terror of the weather scene.

Just when PWS thought they had the market sewn up, in steps the UK's newest fighting force.

    Ladies & Gentlemen please welcome......Paul.......................Michaelwaite

Suggest you think about leaving the country for a few months next April, as the seasons change your name will be at the top of thier..." Well Paul M. now know as Sir Paul, was right on this winter's forecast"

Of course 3months chasing tornado's would be a great excuse.
