Coming down steady here too, helping to recover some of the slight thaw from yesterday. Nice

Exactly due east of me there is no high ground above my altitude all the way to Russia. Easterlies from anywhere near that direction will easily travel.
Is that true? Pretty crazy if so . I’m just down from sedgley

Got to be a good 5-6cm out there already, nice surprise, doesn’t look like stopping for a while

Some areas of upstate New York got over 3ft of snow in yesterday’s snowstorm.. madness

Won’t go any further north then Worcester

Coming down nicely, hopefully doesn’t weaken too much and stalls for a few hours
Just look at the intensity of that system in the Irish Sea! What a waste lol

Each radar update looks worse imo now for most of us

Doesn’t seem to be making much progress further north and east now unfortunately :/

Somewhere further south west is going to get absolutely buried from this system

From what I can see, a lovely covering of about an inch here in Harborne.
Sunday/Monday is looking good for around here. The situation reminds me of 8-9 Feb 2007. That was an amazing event in an otherwise horrid winter. Anybody remember the event?
Yes, was probably the best snow event I can remember. Think we got around 8inches here

Hi all
Good few cm here atm and coming down nicely. More to come looking at the radar, nice streamer setup.
Sunday currently looking very good for us, 15cm +

As I pointed out earlier, the NHC have always maintained Ophelia is still a hurricane even after the 21Z update, so don’t really understand why met office were tweeting that it wasn’t any more. I’m inclined to think the NHC know what they’re talking about here. Question is, can Ophelia possibly survive as tropical untill landfall?
No

Feeling mild out there in the sunshine today.
Upto 2ft of snow expected from this snowstorm in NE USA, and to think some of us didnt even manage 2cm last week. Makes you want to cry

Roll on spring i say, joke of a winter so far.
Could almost be feeling 'early spring like' in any sunny spells on the weekend, temps into double figures, possibly even low teens.

Some light snow falling here, left a little dusting. Slight consolation.
