Snowing here at the moment. Would seem the conditions are still right for snow rather than rain.

What is falling here at the moment, which isnt a lot, is still of snow (just about)
-
Things certainly pepped up a bit the past hour to the SW, bodes well for later on?
-
Way too light and patchy at the moment to amount to anything decent.

Low ground
East mids - 1-3cm
West mids - 2-5cm
High ground

How accurate is this? http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en
Does it just show CG lightning

Could anyone tell me how the weather is looking for Brixham this weekend? Thanks
-
All but stopped now, you'd think any heavy showers later on will be of snow? Especially around the Black country/Birmingham
-
Heavy snow here for the past 10-15 minutes, surfaces were soaked but snow has had no problem sticking.
Already a covering on both roads and pavements.
-
All rain here at around 200m asl.
-
Any rain at all likely over the West mids tonight? missus wants to know if she should take a brolley out with her or not.
-
This rain is torrential
-
This current storm better then the one earlier here, lightning more frequent, think we missed a direct hit from last one.

Am i right in thinking these charts are the best we've had for a nationwide heatwave for many years?
Bring on the heat

Helloooo, first rumble of thunder just then.

Beautiful week of spring/summery weather to come if the GFS is correct.
Temperatures in the late teens, early 20's for much of the North and west early on before transfering further south and east throughout the week.

Can someone point me in the right direction where i can view past GFS/ECM charts from a particular date?
-
It looks to be around 3-5 cm around the Sainsburys in Amblecote. Then drove up through Brierley Hill then on the A461 to Dudley. Snow is fairly thick there. I reckon it must be over 10cm there. It increases in amount when you get to this side of Dudley though.
Yep, the extra 100m ASL or so makes a big difference, especially in more marginal situations.

GFS keen to bring a breakdown to the cold by next weekend again.
14C in bulk of england by Saturday afternoon.

Woke up to a good covering, not measured but got to be close to the big fall we had in January.
