  1. I expect that will be extended south westwards over the next couple of days! A good 6z GFS. Would likely lead to: Sunday: Widespread (potentially prolonged) snow showers (especially across East Anglia) Monday: Snow showers Tuesday: Snow showers (becoming lighter and more scattered the further south and west) Wednesday: Snow event from the South West. All subject to change of course, and never take the precipitation charts literally (especially in these events). That said, shaping up to be an interesting couple days!
  2. Thanks! What year was that? I see many are worried about snow prospects for the weekend / early next. I've always been of the view get the cold in first and the snow will come. Having had so many lets downs in my 15 years on Net-weather I no longer let model upgrades / downgrades get to me. I'm thinking I may have jinxed our prospects next week though having held off buying new garden perennials...
  3. Out of interest how do places like NW London tend to out of set ups advertised by the UKMO and ECMWF / Easterlie? One of the great aspects of living in Yorkshire was that we always did very well in Easterly set ups!
  4. Brief snow flurry here. Hopefully this band can clear quickly and let temperatures drop!
  5. Great little event here. Currently have 5cm, albeit a thaw had already set in by the time i got home to measure. Harrow on the Hill appeared to have a little more. Roads where pretty bad for a while with lots of cars and buses stuck. More than I expected really and a great little boost with everything else going on
  6. Good dusting now. Would think it should clear around 12 judging by the radar. Still, would leave a couple of cms if it keeps its current intensity! Not a bad little event
  7. Light snow now in Harrow. Painfully slow progression, but hopefully that means when heavier stuff does hit (literally a 2 miles away according to the A40 webcams) it lasts a bit longer!
  8. It has. Shows how bad it has been for snow in our neck of the woods! You're further west than me, got anything yet? Some very light flakes here
  9. Temp 0.6c and -1c dew point. The band is so close. Might get a cm or two if it keeps its intensity
  10. Temp has risen a bit from -0.7c to 0.3c. Tbh i'm not too bothered about tonight's event. Best case appears to be some temporary snow very early morning quickly followed by rain. Hopefully it clears quickly!
  11. Some great pictures. I really do miss living near Sheffield. The SE is rubbish for snow! We'll be opening an office Leeds and so I'll be trying to persuade my London born and bred parter to move north. If I succeed I'll be asking this thread the best part of Leeds for snow...
  12. Still drizzling, managed 85 mm. Reasonable chance of breaking 100mm this month!
  13. 81mm since Friday, 85mm since the 1st. Judging by the radar I could probably squeeze another 5 to 10mm over the next few hours.
  14. Yes, something seems to have popped up over East London. Will no doubt strengthen significantly after it has passed!
  15. So i can hear some distant rumbling, although i have a feeling its going to skirt south and west of Harrow (especially as i just covered the table). @Uxbridge90 hopefully look good for you further west of me!
