In Washington North Carolina 18 inches of rain has fell already watching fox news now that's incredible the entire towns flooded.
-
I don't know if this is really the right place but Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) Wales highest mountain had snow fall on teh 25th of June, atleast an inch due to evapourative cooling.
It snowed on the 24th aswell i was on my way to Porthmadog from Llandudno through Llanberis and up through Pen-y-pass where it was only 8c!! it was snowing on the top of Snowdon from what i could tell it was quite a shock to see it to be honest.

Thanks for posting those. It looks like you are getting a very nice amount down there.
Looking at the radar, it appears that I'm still among the lightish stuff, but I'm a little more confident that what falls will be of snow.
I wasn't expecting much if any snow certainly not the amount we have seen anyway, it's still snowing can't see it lasting much longer however, just had a phone call saying that their is traffic chaos yet again in some parts of Sheffield as the gritters haven't been out here yet again.

well over 40 mine will be near on the same as The Pits as he doesn't live that far from me.
-
Also a couple on Snowdon I believe.
I took a picture of Snowdon & the mountains at the Otherside of Llanberis i think one was Carnedd Llwellyn that had a patch of snow left at the top.
-
its near 28c there now i doubt its that warm. If it reaches 30c we all know its in the sun.
Not only that it's 1100 feet above sea level aswell.
-
how can it not be them weather stations arn't always right you know.
Well i will be astounded if it is 27.4c in Buxton at the minute like it says it is.
-
According to http://www.buxtonweather.co.uk/ is is 26.8c in Buxton at the minute  surely that can't be right it was 26.9 at one point.

Buxton Derbs
Well it's cooled down fast after reaching 31.8c yesterday. Now 13C.
According to the station at www.buxtonweather.co.uk the max temp reached there yesterday was 25.1c not sure how accurate that is even that tempreture reading seems abit high for Buxton.
According to the weather station at Buxton aswell it's already been up to 24.1c but dropped back to 23.2c at the moment.

I was driving through the top of Ringinglow in Sheffield about & hour ago the conditions were horrendous temp of 1c Blizzard conditions and fog at the top reducing visibility to less than 50m the grass & trees were covered in Snow even the roads were starting to cover aswell.
-
It's Snowing on the hills around Buxton now aswell
-
Still plenty of patches on the hills around here, I wonder they will make it 3 months...
Their has been at least a patch of snow up on the moors at Ringinglow near Sheffield since Mid December.
-
Went through Ringinglow and past Stanedge edge then round to the Top of Fox house it was snowing lightly up their the temp was 2.5c.
-
Hearing the talk about moving to where there's more snow, thought i'd point out that i may be moving to Leicester later this year which is rather the opposite as i will no longer have reason to be smug when snow is only forecast for higher ground lol. Maybe i will have to re-register with a different name....
Move to Buxton t always gets pasted by snow and if my memory serves me right there has been at least some snow around the Hills of Buxton since Mid December they even had 5 days of Snowfall in November the jammy sods.
-
what's going off here it was snowing really heavily here now it's turned really light :excl:
-
There is at least 10cm in Dronfield Derbyshire there is a report on the sheffield forum of 18cm of Snow in Bakewell. :blink

Been very lightly snowing for the past few hours with it sticking. Ice this morning was terrible! Saw a car upside down when was leaving the village. Quite a few skidding. A lot of traffic when getting into worksop with quite a few emergency vehicles going around. My post 16 car park was light an ice rink  Back this end and my sisters school was nearly closed with few staff turning up. Max temp today was 0.3c. Currently 0.1c
Weirdly we have a better covering that Worksop again, even though I'm only 10mins away!
I cleared my path yesterday of ice and snow only for it to turn to thick ice after freezing rain it was like an ice slide this morning it was lethal, not to mention the roads where horrendous it was that icy on Delves Road in Killamarsh you could have gone down the road in a bobsleigh it was terrible i tried doing a 3 point turn on there and i was skidding all over the place.
The only heart stopping moment of today for me was at Morrisons garage at Halfway the silly chuffs had not gritted the road that bends round into the petrol station on my way back out of the petrol station i tried to go round the corner i couldn't even steer the car and went straight on into the curb.
What made me angry was they had gritted every other part of Morrisons car and the roads leading to it so why not on a dangerous corner into the petrol station.
As for you having a better covering than Worksop it's hardly suprising as Worksop is alot more built up than Cresswell.

Absolutely right! I live in Dronfield and I bet the route over the hills towards Bakewell and Buxton will be cut off very soon. I think Buxton is pretty much buried even now!
My Mum and Dad live in Dronfield it's just starting to snow again here.
-
Look's like all the main routes into the peak district from Sheffield are going to be cut off soon i have just been up to fox house the wind is whipping up the snow and has buried the walls the snow is now blowing onto the roads i dare say it won't be long before the roads get completely blocked.
I know from previous experience how bad it can get after getting stuck up at Owler bar after a lorry had jacknifed and hit the snow drift that had blocked the road, mountain rescue had to dig us out would you believe.

I shall be to far South for those showers however I'm hoping for one or two flurries later tonight forming in that gap, i won't hold my breath though.
Mark anything can happen look at last night i wasn't expecting any snow at all yet we had 2 heavy snow showers that left a decent covering again on the roads aswell.
