Have you not been in the model thread this morning? Good agreement between most that the cold period is coming to an end around Wednesday/Thursday next week.
Well that can't be too right on the news it says atleast 10 days left of this so i doubt that.

11cm of snow on the grass ive recorded just now
! thats 3cm fall in the last hour or so! i think its about 7/8cm on the pavements and about 2/3cm on the roads where its been compacted. -
Anyone think that snow will make it to the eastmidlands and i mean snow as in the really heavy stuff which looks like its on its way?! about 7cm here! YAAY.

Looks like that band of snow coming down is headed for the E Midlands... doesn't look to be weakening yet.
If it doesn't die out then this stray shower could be the most snow Leicester has seen since the cold spell started LMAO.

Gotta say Chris, you are a brave man. I have been out there tonight and it's hovering around 0c here and the whole road is white in frost. It defanitly is not t shirt weather :blink:

I love snow and cold but I really don't need this lol I need to go Portugal on Saturday so I could really do without this cold spell 'till I get back lol so I really hope it doesn't snow on Tuesday even though i'd LOVE for it to snow on Tuesday if i wasn't going Portugal. Can anyone tell me the weather for Faro Portugal on Saturday?

Haha, gotta be honest with you mate, if it snows here tonight in Leicester I think I may give my Christmas presents away tomorrow. Thats how unlikely I think it is lol.

Temp and dewpoint just dropped from 1.2c to 0.8c still raining
Give it a while hopefully temps drop a bit more. Fingers crossed.

I can see a nice, West Midlands sized gap in the band of rain/sleet/snow - wouldn't it just top off the cold spell if we went straight through that gap?

Just been looking at the temps at 12.00 and you can really see the difference between those who have snow cover and those that don't. Much of the Midlands is currently -1C and yet in Peterborough its -5C.
I can see someone recording -8/-9C in England come tomorrow morning.
Yet its about -3c here in leicester and probably be -6/7 by the morning but cant see how it wont be snow tomorrow evening :S

They have completely missed out 1200 for some reason, it is available on the NW one though which is odd.
Yeah it is holding up very well, we COULD get something out of this. Not getting my hopes up though.

I have two a level exams in the coming week :| and this weather isnt looking brilliant for the college being open! and ill have to wait until the summer to do them when we also have our other exams but i dont see how this could be fair on us really because our grades are more likely to be lower grrr its just stressing me out ahha :|!! I love the look of outside though aha
