  5. I don't have a wind speed machine, but believe me in the last 30 minutes it is blowing a real storm out there!! I see gusts in belfast now upto 60 mph, and steady wind speeds of 35 mph The strongest wind I can remember in a long long time Lamposts are shaking, trees look horizontal - crazy crazy stuff out there Hopefully it won't get any worse than this god help us all!!
  6. just stuck £10 with betfair at 10-1, pretty amazing considering we are now in predictable range also - giving free £10 bet - so nothing to loose"" small chance - if its greater than15% its odds on at 10-1 £100 not bad - all we need now is snow in the capital - I'm confident
  7. December is easy another mild on I'm afraid, after all this early cold stuff I'll pitch mine at 7.4C or 280.4 K
  8. Still raining raining raining An incredible run of wet weather... It rained 27 days out of 31 in August and so far 5 our of 6 for September The outlook is dire to say the least.... RAIN. Also temperatures - average has been 10.5C which is 4 C below normal for us here in last 5 days. Truely crap weather. wait wait...a glimpse of brightness!!!! now - a seagull flew past ah well good for ducks
  9. I thought that August was bad this was a totally rubbish day Maximum temperature was 10.8C the average low temperature for September is 13.3 C rain rain and a wee bit of sunshine fire lit - heating on - like mid winteR
  10. Simply put its was The WORST AUGUST OF ALL TIME!!!! for northern ireland - and I'm sure my part beats this Rain fall 200mm just under 10 inches (200% of average) Sunshine 65 hours ( 50 % of average) - or putting it more simply average of 2.1 hours per day ( most of this occurred at 6am in morning before I woke up).. Number of completely cloudy days 15 Maximum temperature 22.2C Average maximum temperature 17.3C (1C below average) Average minimum temperature 14.1 C (1C above average) Number of days with rain (out of 31) = 26... or 5 days with no rain Must sun recorded in one day = 5 hours Now - lets repeat this - this is AUGUST under global warming conditions... and to add insult to injury... July was also crap - with just a little more sun!! OVerall - crap crap crap summer - forget this one - hopefully never to be repeated so there you are -

  14. I'm not sure if you lot in the south of the UK really appreciate how SUNNY and DRY it has been this May up north Over here in Ireland- it has NOT rained one little bit for 4 weeks now... can't remember this ever happening for many a year Also the SUNSHINE - no figures - but it surely must SMASH any previous record .. I'd be happy to know if anyone has statistics on this thanks in advance
  15. with the credit crunch meaning that people are able to afford to buy oil or gas anymore - this will naturally lead to a reduction in exothermic fossil fuel heat entering the atmosphere across the world. this is to kick in around April 1st and last for about 4 weeks. so go for a cool 6.8C for April
  16. last winter was weird.. we had snow in mid Nov then no more until end of March - crazy stuff this year- we'll be lucky to see a snowfall at all...lets hope not
