A Solid 10 hours of almost Heavy Snow here in Dundee today, almost rivaled the winter of 2010 !!
Must be well over 8 inches of new snow, and unexpected, in my eyes. Im in the Menzieshill area of Dundee....

Looks like there's a heavy snow shower about to hit Dundee judging by the radar. Looks beefy!
Will sit and watch this next shower, it looks beefy ok and sitting right on the mouth of the Tay !

Spent five hours ambling around the Lomonds today. Up over East Lomond, around the forests on the Falkland Estate, through Craigmead and down to Ballo and then home. Easily one of the most memorable snowy walks I've had by virtue of the facts that a) there's over a foot of lying snow on the ground, b- the forest trees are soooooo heavy with snow that everything is absurdly picturesque, and c) the snowshoes went on and came off at the front door.
Amazing!
Historically I've always headed for the high open spaces when there's a big dump of snow, but walking through the forests today was spine-tinglingly beautiful. Utterly still with no sounds other than the occasional slide of snow off the pines. It was like snowshoeing through the Canadian back-country.
Access, though always good, was easier than usual 'cause you could just step over dykes and fences that are usually too high. Wonderful

I have run out of superlatives of the Blizzard we had half an hour ago !!!!! It Looks like the North Pole on a snowy day !!! Clouds of fine drifting snow reducing visibility to 50 yards or so ..... Incredible !!!!
