AS YOU KNWO THE GFS HAS BEEN VERY POOR RECENTLY IN THE PAST WEEKS ANYWAY. More fool you I say, again people have to be pesimistic rather than happy and greatfull look at the facts ok. Its been the best snowfall for years. We have had the deepest and most prolonged snow here in Wales since 1982 yet people still arent happy.

That is because they are on the sea perhaps? and haven't come into contact with the cold air thats lingering over Wales? You can't make statements like that.This could be very severe if anything it's upgrading especially for south west England now. Where there was alot of rain forecast but not anymore.

Yes we in carmarthenshire have all had letters from the Cyngor Sir gâr(council) saying that due to colder weather as of late grit salt will be reserved for all major A roads and some selected B roads and this would come in force from today. they will try and remove any deep snow in due course or something with snow ploughs but are advising drivers to stick to main routes and if traveling on minor roads is necessary to take a spade and chains on the tires. We still have deep snow on the grass and on the garden, It's more like ice and slush on the roads due to a slight thaw from yest afternoon which refroze and thawed slightly this morning but temp as dropped now. We haven't seen the sun all day so clearly this has helped retain snow cover.

Will any rain occur here in Southern Wales or will it be snow?

I'm confused people in the South West reporting heavy snow yes? Weather forecast say its rain, They say we could have light wintry showers through the night hows this?

Will this heavy snow in the South West move up here ?

I cant visage wet snow have had pure snow tonight and i live in the hills and away from the costs?. Ok so clearer night? How about tomorrow day will it be sunny or cloudy because if the sun comes out it will thaw the snow so?

I Live in the Beacons and snow is common but i have never ever seen snow this heavy in my lifetimm nor deep

This could turn out to be very nasty then ? With potential deep deep snow ye? Well if till midday the ammount of snow at the moment wil not thaw too soon i can tell you that much.

Still snowing very heavy and persistent can't believe the amount of snow thats falling is it something to do with pepping up over the sea? How long are these forecast to fall like this? All day?

Yes them photos were taken at around this morning i will take more when the snow stops falling, its just been really heavy with drifting for the last half hour non stop and looks like more is on the way.

Extremely heavy snow falling here, and I'm used to heavy snow in this part but aint seen it like this in my lifetime. Currently have around 18cm of snow on grass and garden in places and paths have a goot 4 inches on including roads. Very exciting here are some pictures.

We built a snowman tonight and we cleared the drive of around 2 inches of snow to make it guess what? after the slow persistent showers the drive is now fully covered again.

We currently have around 15cm on the grass here . Pavements and roads stand art around 7/8cm too. Digonedd o Eira.

Currently a break here the longest of the day so far nothing falling now but the sun is gone down the temp is dropping away the snow will freeze. so things are looking good for tomorrow i guess.

We had two centimeters at this morning have about 8cm here now lol
