  1. Very intresting because you say the north, But personally i'm of the feeling that the South West has done better than most of the british isles due to frost because of some hard air frosts. I've had 35 air frosts since the end of october, 20 groundfrosts, 8 days with sleet falling - 6 days with snow falling, 3 days with snow lying. I've had 4 ice days, The lakes froze solid over here up to 29 cm in places, the river froze over for the first time since 1963. And i here people say this winter hasn't been the best, Yes snow hasn't been as widespread as it could but temps have certainly pleased me. -16 lowest here. even -10 on pembrey sands. The BEACH. THe estuary by there froze. Now when harbours and sea's are freezing that says alot doesn't it.
  2. wel my gess at 3.7may have been a bit high then :L
  3. Although i also agree with you they should be deemed average rather than below average but it does seem that when ever we have cold weather or below avearage it is always undermined but if its a slight notch on the mild side you get the global warming ramping etc. which seems a little unfair in my view.
  4. My punt at 3.7 isn't too bad then
  5. Yes but why do you say unlikely? It happened in 1996 why can't it happen now? Just because the scientist hype aload of trash about global warming which has over timed been changed to climate change etc. There is no reason why we can't get those sypnotics now and retain a cet like that. Take each week in it's stride you can't say it's unlikely because the past few winters have been generaly mild.
  6. Ew Cymro Balch fel minnau,- Oh a Proud Welshman like me Baswn i'n ddweud 60 y cant am Galennig gwyn ac am nadolig gwyn blwyddyn nesaf pwy a wŷr I would say 60% for a White calennig here but for Christmas next here who know's.
  7. Ni di bod bach mwy lwcus na chi, We have been a little bit more lucky than you in the hills of Glanaman. But no proper lying snow. Had snow flurries which have left a slight powdered toping ont he car and in this event we had very heavy sleet with snow in it , same can be said for last night up in the Square and compass. We aint had proper lying snow since April 6th 2008. Have you noticed though snow always lasts longer up the valley than in ammanford. Places on Betws mountain can see a snow cover for a long while especially behind the perrivale up there as the sun doesn't catch that area mutch at all.
  8. Beth mae llwch yn meddwl? What does dust mean?
  9. Haha lol, Welsh for that's good ys, Mae hwnna'n dda:) Welsh is my first language irish yours? And lol if your going by my Personal Signature then it ahsn't been updated for a while now not since mid october. so i don't know you now i've had nearly atleast a ground frost everynite since as i live in the Brecon Beacons which in my local area raises to about 500meters absl
  10. Great stuff. As you say, Go maith. Ta cupla focail gaeilge agam
  11. Yes can safely say this is the coldest november night i have ever seen and could get lower by the looks of things, everything is iced solid has been since half past 6. Friday night got down to -6, last night -4 now tonight -7 and could get lower. To put it like this, the garden hasn't thawed since friday just froze for 3 days.
  12. -5 here coldest night so far this year. Very hard frozt everything iced over the pond, the paths the doors , we had some rain last night which froze and then we had a snow flurry which left a topping of cars white, very unexpected. The thick cloud is still here and fog and despite that the tempreature is not rising as of yet.
  13. Looks rather good how will this bode for the summer months next year though do you reckon? When was the last time above average ice was recorded? And is it possible? Sorry i'm a novice to all this but have a real interest.
  14. I would like to change mine to 3.7 please
  15. Currently very wet yet heavy snow falling in the Amman Valley
  16. Currently experiencing a heavy soft hail shower whith bits of sleet. Tempreature 6.7
  17. I apologise i didn't mean to sound rude and what youre doing isn't pointless. What i meant by my post was that the ensembles and patterns change so constant that its pointless basing your hopes at say a forecast in october for 2 months ahead. No disrespect to you at all and i am sorry if it's come across like that.
  18. Yes it all seems a bit pointless considering it's changing weekly so what's the point in wondering now? Why not just wait untill 17th december and look at the charts then until then i won't follow these forecasts.
  19. Wintry showers here in Carmarthenshire this morning mainly sleet and hail but the odd burst of snow.
