Likely to see a few more drops before milder air arrives later this coming week.

10.4c here to the 4th, 0.1c below the 1981-2010 average.
First time we've been below average here in a while, should stay that way too if the BBC forecast temps are correct.

10.7c to the 3rd here, 0.2c above the 1981-2010 average.
Next 5 days looking average to slightly below so not much change expected.

April carried on the mild and dry theme we had over the winter months, unfortunately no sunshine stats but it was most certainly well above average.
Clearer skies meant that nighttime temps were close to average but daytime temps were much milder than normal.
Noteworthy event was the 23.2c recorded early April which was very warm for the time of year.

That's not cold though, that's 8C with rain showers for most places except mountains. Don't know how anyone could like that any time of the year but each to their own.
Yes not exactly cold I agree, what I should of put is I'm an colder than average weather lover all year round.
GFS is solid as a rock with the Greenie High and NE'rly.
If it was January it would go BAPS up but because its May is nailed.

As an all year round cold weather lover, charts like this have me drooling!
GFS showing potential for white stuff falling up North and some air frosts for many early to Mid May.
Lets just hope we don't use up all our Northern Blocking yearly allowance and there's some left over for December.

9.6°C here, has hardly dropped at all since the middle of the month as I thought.
We have managed to drop a degree since mid month, so the cold snap didn't have too much of an impact.
The monthly mean max is currently at 14.0c which is 2.6c above average, whereas the mean min is currently at 3.7c which is 0.3c below average.
Unfortunately I don't have any sunshine stats for this month but its very likely the reason we are above average this month is due to high sunshine levels that has resulted in well above average maximum temps, especially earlier in April.
Still 8.8c here to the 29th, 1.0c above the 1981-2010 average.
Possibility with a mild night due tonight we finish the month on 8.9c.

8.8c here to the 26th, 1.0c above the 1981-2010.
Mean Temp currently at its lowest so far this month, looking like finishing around 8.6c roughly.

Snowing hard in Malton at the moment, but not settling, about 4C so probably wont. Tried to get a picture, but too dull with just a phone camera.
Yes plenty of sleet/wet snow showers here just outside Malton this morning, nothing settling unfortunately, however there was a good covering above 250m in the North York Moors this morning.

8.9c here to the 25th, 1.1c above the 1981-2010 average.
Should see it drop slightly before month end if BBC temp forecast are accurate.

Lovely warm spring day again. Coming brief cold snap looks quite potent pity it didn't happen in winter though. Had to top up one of the ponds which is rare for this time of year.
Yes we almost hit 17c today with a max of 16.4c.
Those in the North of the region with some elevation could see some settling snow tomorrow evening, however the feature does look to decay somewhat as it slides SEwards.

9.1c here to the 22nd, 1.3c above the 1981-2010 average.
Today looks mild so 9.2c likely by tomorrow, then we see potential for 3/4 days of drops so I would imagine somewhere around 8.5c by the end of the coming week/month.
