Too true, MeteoMadrid! Especially the Cava and the beer! But Pollensa and Lluc are beautiful and quiet places in the north of the island, as is Soller in the south. That's where we are going next Easter. We hope that Puig Major still has snow on it! We love Spain and we love the Spanish people and we can't wait to get there to see the beautiful weather and the extraordinary wildlife - especially the vultures in the mountains near Lluc monastery. I've seen snow on the Tramuntana mountains in Mallorca in January. It's quite beautiful and rather unusual. Here's a picture I've found taken from Santa Maria in December. A good point. It has been alleged, by Meades amongst others, that when Ralph Vaughn Williams was collecting folk-songs in Sussex and Norfolk at the beginning of the last century, word got around that he would buy the singers a drink or two. Hence, there were many inventive singers of non-existant songs all too willing to add to Williams' collection!
