Good one Paul, I think thats a good shot for the next couple of months or so, Im thinking the jet will be flying low once again so lots of perhaps nice surprises on the way and more of a traditional Autumn....

The latest from Accuweather as to where Gustav will end up, I,ll bet there sweating on the Gulf coast in more than one sense! It looks as though it will be heading between the Yucatan and Cuba so it has a lot of perfect warm water at its disposal...watching with interest over the next few days.....

Cant moan about the weather today, a few heavy heavy showers here this afternoon, but the Vale Of Evesham Weather Station missed most of them! A few cumulus ninbus can still be seen from the "dying" storms. current temp@ 18.53 18.6c and a gentle nnw breeze@3mph.

Having seen the footage i'd say that was a high end EF2 even possibly an EF3.
Its high time the word 'mini' was dropped from describing weak tornadoes, a tornado
is a tornado simple as that!!
Always sad to hear of deaths caused by weather conditions....is time for Europe to
have doppler radar? Scientists have stressed that these weather events will increase
in strength and frequency if the earth continues to warm.
These storms have always occured and unfortunately people die whatever we have ,doppler/ uptodate weather forecasts. I think the "problem" here today is more folks live on the planet and therefore storms effect more people, and secondly we would not of heard this incident years ago because there was not the commnication around, and these storms can literally come out of nowhere as Nick will verify and take us all by surprise, but thats the weather!

Have to agree that "mini tornado" is a term what should not be used! How can you describe the devastation ,looking from those pics, and describe something like that as "mini"? :lol:

Its a year to the day [not date!] that those dreadful floods brought havoc and mayhem to our community! This is the chart on that day last year, does not look much but by god it made a BIG impact!

The "illusive" thunderstorms in the Vale are still at there old tricks ,some thunderstorms to west of us in Wales and weve been left with mainly cloud laden skies and nusiance value rain!

Theres been a thunderstorm thats slid to the nnw of us but we,ve had a few spots of rain out of that, the main cold front is still to the west of the Vale but overcast with cumuluscongestus and cumulusnimbus seen today.

Type 'photo resizing' into google. Or if you have Microsoft Office, the MS Office Picture Manager will do it for you.
