Everything posted by Thundery wintry showers

  1. In Lancaster it rained in the morning, brightened up in the afternoon and got quite warm. Don't know what the temperature was, and if I say 16C (my estimate), Hazelrigg will probably come out with a reality of a totally different temperature.
  2. I travelled from Tyneside to Lancaster today, and can give updates for both locations: Tyneside: Dry and sunny, and uneventful, until at least 3pm. Indications (from BBC Radar) suggest that some showers got over there during the evening. Lancaster: Sunshine and Showers all day, with rainbows, and some very heavy rainstorms. No thunder though, although it looked like it could do so at times! Today, like many other days, backs up my opinion that the North East is not a very good place to be for dramatic weather (except perhaps for large-scale winter snowfalls.)
  3. I think Thule's a little bit cold even for me! Temps down to -5C maybe, but not -17C!
  4. LANCASTER: Sunny all day. Max of 12 or 13C. "Spring day" would be too weak a term, considering that springs aren't usually this sunny!
  5. Lancaster: Sunny all day. Temperatures about average (8-9C) but feeling warmer than that in the sunshine. Very light breeze from the east.
  6. In Lancaster it's raining, and the temperature is only 4C!
  7. Lancaster weather: Mostly cloudy with intermettent drizzle, 12.1C, but with occasional clear intervals. Pressure 1003mb.
