    Stuck on a bus heading into Aberdeen. Traffic is a nightmare. A wee dusting of snow overnight. Temp at 1c according to my phone.

    Looking at the wind charts for later on today, it looks to me as if that big blob of precip that has stalled off the coast of Aberdeen that gave is the snow this morning 'could' come back our way, can anyone verify?

    Wi muckle flurries comin soon hae a thought for those a'roon. Check on the aul, and the bairns, the cuddies and the yows, feed the spurgies and the futretts, dae it right anow. If your oot in the snaw mind the skity ice, fallin on yer dowp is never very nice. Enjoy the snaw, wi breath a steamin, wi soaking gloves, and cheeks a gleamin, but dinna fret ooer the models, weer a bunnet wi a bobble.

    Doric Forecast :- Wi the models haverin aboot a noo it's onybidys guess at tae fit will happen. I'm faur scunnert wi the model outputs an the fecherin and bawlin goan on, gie the folk a skelp and a shoogle. The wither will dae fitiver the wither is gonna dea. I weel say its gonna get cauld, snaw? maybes aye, maybes naa. Wrap up weel and enjot it fitever. Just dinna skite. I'm awa tae play with my futrett. subtitles on page 888

    Yes, that precip should start to get pushed west by the ULL depression coming out of Denmark shown on the satrep page. :-)

    "Is it my imagination or is a small swirl or something developing off Norway..? http://www.sat24.com...at=ir&type=loop Been getting snow showers off and on from that stuff sat out to the northeast. It has a bit of a rotation in it so the cloud out to the northeast is being dragged southwest-ish and down over Aberdeen, whereas the cloud further south is just going straight south. You can see why if you look at the isobars - there's a bit of a kink in them - http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ " yes, been watching that myself.
