    Yes, been watching it all morning, it's tightening up nicely. Another one formed behind it as well and possibly another one forming just off the coast of Norway.

    seems to have plenty of rotation in it, so even if it goes west it might destabilise the northerly flow a little. Seems to be a few more forming upstream too.

    Is that around the Hardgate area? It was a right mess of stuck cars this morning, i work just round the corner but stay in Peterculter about 9 miles out of Aberdeen. The roads on the way in this morning were not too bad, but as you said, lack of grit. Just looking at this http://www.sat24.com/homepage.aspx?page=ir that little system off to the north looks like it could bring some fun to Scotland :-)

    Had thundersleet this morning in Peterculter, 7 miles inland from Aberdeen, started sleeting heavily about 7am then there was a huge flash and thunderclap, took half the power out in the village :-)

    had a heavy snow/hail shower this morning, which then froze. Still got lying snow in Peterculter

    more snow overnight (approx 2 cm), cold this morning (-1.5c) with further snow showers.

    woke up this morning with another inch or so of lying snow, still got snowcover here, main roads are clear, but sideroads are tricky.
