  1. Nothing has materialised here today so far. Just the same rainless, overcast dirge that we have had to suffer for weeks on end!
  2. Amber warning from the Met for us in the NW tomorrow. Worth keeping an eye on,
  3. Constant drizzle from about 7am here, and no higher than 13c. Got to be the worst midsummers day I can remember. 7.30 pm and we've got the lights on and the heating turned right up. Unbelievable...
  4. Wow, just had the most amazing non-stop drizzle here today.... Started at 7am and still going now. Really happy for those peeps that are actually experiencing weather right now!
  5. Wow, that would actually be classed as exciting weather compared to the dross round here at the moment, least you've got some discernible clouds there to look at! Its just a solid light grey mess here all the time! lol
  6. Still only hitting 12-13c here today and just a dank blanket of miserable drizzle. So annoying....!
  7. Unbelieveable for Mid-summer... 11c, overcast 100% cloud cover and very fine, light drizzle Cars going past with headlamps on at 11am.... Quite possibly the most depressing vista of weather I've seen so far this year (and that's saying something)
  8. I was at a barbecue this afternoon (yeah, dont ask) and I can hand on heart state that I can NEVER remember a summers day with such foul, horrible weather. It would have put a mid-November day to shame. At one point we were measuring 10c, amid driving rain and a biting, gusty wind. Horrendous. Can't take much more of this....!
  9. This has been the scene here literally for the past four or five months...
  10. Just to show how utterly boring and mundane our weather is here....this shot was taken over two and a half hours after the one I posted above.........SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!!!
  11. Literally, this is the most exciting our weather has been for some time. A bit of cloud amongst the grey murk....and some light-ish rain....!
  12. This is exactly the same situation as us here...it's just so amazingly mundane. ANY sunshine we get here, (even during the much lauded week in march and the week at the tail end of may) tends to be very early morning and by 9am has given way to the same monotonous mid grey blanket of featureless cloud that we have seemingly experienced all year! Im looking out now at the same skyscape Ive looked at for the past three or four MONTHS! Grey, dull, bland........
  13. Still 100% overcast here...and light drizzle. Wonderful...lol and 14c.
  14. 12c, overcast, dull, no rain. (had moderate rain overnight) The same cloudy murk we have had all week in fact.
  15. Another day of dull, overcast murk. No rain. Currently 13c.
  16. Same here. It's not even "interesting" bad weather here, just literally an interminable cover of grey stratus dross, little heavy rain but enough drizzle to affect any outdoor plans one might have, no storms (five years and counting now....) Cold, murky, dull. And its been pretty much like that since that nice (one) week in March...Oh and the North-Easterlies when we get them (more and more commonly now) blow a lovely sulphurous smell of pollution over the town from the local chemical plants and refinery. Just to add to the mix.
  17. Currently 9.5c, with drizzly rain. Incredibly dull and overcast, cars with headlamps still on at 8.30am. More like a November morning than a June one....
  18. 9c, Very dull, overcast.100% cloud cover. No rain (yet) Feels more like a November morning than a mid-June one.... :-(
  19. Arrrrrgh this is so frustrating...we've got the worst of all worlds here now, dull overcast with no sun, but stifling oppressive humidity but no chance of a storm to clear the air....!
  20. Well, I can be pretty confident that nothing thundery will kick off here today, or this week for that matter. Just not hot enough and too much low cloud. Five years and counting since we had a storm.
  21. Yeah, taking the same view here in storm starved Ellesmere Port. Seeing the south-east getting all the action over the next few days unfortunately. Got the camera ready though, just in case
  22. Very disappointing this morning. Dull, and overcast, 100% cloud cover. Temp hovering round the 14-15c mark. Feeling humid. Are we the only place in the country without sunshine today!
  23. It was very early on, for a brief period, around 5am. We had a short shower of hail at about 6am. Had to put the heating back on today!
  24. Another day of incessant grey overcast skies , and sleety rain today, swept in by a rather biting westerly wind. Feels more like November than May. And this is going to sound really strange but....I guess its down to the overcast conditions but here, even when it brightens (rarely) its like...its like the light is a lot "dimmer" than it should be for this time of the year. Walked son to school ten minutes ago and there were still cars with headlights on etc. More like an early winters morning. Prob just subjective I know, but has anyone else noticed the same? And the nights dont seem to be drawing out much! Sorry if it sounds crazy but thats how Im perceiving it at the moment! Can't remember a spring quite like this!
