  1. Yeah, was hoping the activity round Sheffield might start curling round back to us later but it's clear its going to head too far NW and bleed too much energy anyway....
  2. Wonder if we will get anything this evening. We have had a lot of ground heating today and some Cu bubbling up now. Starting to feel very humid and sticky....
  3. Mainly a problem when the wind shifts or we get an inversion. We need a good storm to freshen things up!
  4. Think we have truly had the worst of all possible worlds here today, as far as uninteresting weather goes. Apart from a short spell of heavy rain earlier this morning,we have now reverted to drizzle, with dull and very very overcast conditions. We currently have the lights on in the house, and heating is on! To make matters worse, a slack breeze, unusually from the NE, is blowing all the petro-chemical pollution from Stanlow Refinery directly over the town and it's getting trapped in the dank conditions, and the smell is making people physically sick here.... Not a good day.
  5. Rain has turned drizzly again and don't think there's much chance of any convection/ activity this afternoon. Not enough heat around. l
  6. Heavy rain now and looking at the V6 radar and wind directions etc, we are in for a pounding if the area of ppn around S. Manchester maintains its direction and energy.....
  7. Got nothing here last night. Not even a rumble of distant thunder. Dull, with light drizzly rain this morning. Same old same old.....
  8. Yeah, same here, and we were literally right in the firing line for it. It just disintegrated within a space of a few minutes as it crossed the M6 line, and we got virtually nothing from it. Quite odd in fact.
  9. Chris, look at the radar now, and look at how much energy our little system has lost in a staggeringly short space of time. Like someone flicked the "OFF" switch!! It's virtually non-existent now.
  10. We didnt even have "rain".......! The good stuff rain wise literally got to the M56 and did a sharp turn NW!
  11. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised! Literally we had about 30 seconds of light rain and that was it! Still in the NSC.........6 years and counting haha!
  12. Haha.......unbelievable. Our "storm" has literally just turned into a shower of light rain lasting about a minute. The Cheshire Triangle is as effective as ever!!
  13. No sferics. And almost unbelievably I think it might swing NW and miss us! Its only about 12 miles out as well!!
  14. Hmmm, got a feeling this is going to be rain and not electrified! Shame! And as I typed that I just picked up sferics on the radio! lol
  15. We are in a direct head on path...........surely it can't miss!
  16. Might.........just put the camera in the car................just in case
  17. Haha...its got to reach the Cheshire Triangle first! The death-knell to storms everywhere! But fingers crossed!!
