Been directly underneath the storm that is over Perthshire (Pitlochry) . Says something when you have to drive 300 miles to experience one! Multiple CG's and CC's. The storm as it came over the mountains was just awesome to behold! Got some shots, but in the end it was getting too hairy, even for me, as it came directly overhead and I realised I was the tallest things around! Saw some amazing rotation directly overhead.

Im currently in Pitlochry in Scotland. Nothing here yet but that radar is looking hopeful. Getting the camera ready!!

Keeping an eye on that cell in N.Wales,, round Corwen. Good few miles out but seems to be kinda tracking in the right direction. Fingers crossed!

Bitterly disappointed with today. We have ended up once again with a featureless dank mid grey carpet of cloud and I can't see anything else happening to change that now. Light rain at best. Thought today was meant to be stormy!

View from the garden five mins ago Seems to be a lot more early convection happening today compared with yesterday. Hope we can maintain the heat! Wonder what our chances are....!

I've decided after reflection that I'm going to remain in the NSC. Enjoyed yesterday, but it did mean me tearing down country lanes trying to find a storm. In the end I saw two distant CG's and heard three distant rumbles of thunder. It shows how storm starved some of us are that this actually made me happy! I actually enjoyed the fact I got to see cloud formations that consisted of more than the featureless grey murk we have had to endure this year!! Wondering what today will bring......

It's all fizzled out here now....but you know what....I'm happy. I'm ecstatic. I saw 2 CG's, and some nice cloud formations, and for me, that is something to celebrate. I got some nice shots (I hope you guys and girls think so too) and I think I even got to photograph some mammatus! I'm currently in the garden, having a Magners and loving life. Enjoy your storms people! It makes you feel ALIVE!
