usual snooze-fest here too. Despairing of ever seeing (or hearing) of a storm here again in my lifetime! *slinks off dejectedly to the NSC....*

Hmmm looks like everything is going to zip right by....again! Nice looking formation of the Welsh coast heading in but it will skate well south of us. Back to bed I think!

More sferics starting to show up in that little cell over Runcorn, Cheshire area. All quiet here, sun's just popped out for ten minutes though so who knows....

Nothing here but the v6 radar is showing a single sferic right over your location! Lucky git!

Lol, none taken. It only lasted for less than 15 seconds, and I was just surprised as I've never seen sleet or "wintry" rain in June round here. It was almost like a soft form of hail if that makes sense, but lighter than hail (ie: it was caught up in the gust of wind rather than falling straight to ground). The hill is about 450ft ASL so not that high really. Anyway, it was miserable up there so I came home! Lol, none taken. That's what I thought, it didn't seem "heavy" or hard enough for hail though. It wasn't like a classic sleet shower, is it possible to get something that lies between the two? It felt cold up there in that wind!

Liverpool Airport Shot from the top of Frodsham Hill an hour ago, in the forlorn hope of seeing some interesting weather... Had a flurry of sleet up there, wind gusting at about 25 knots, moderate rain and mist. Lovely summers day...not!

You can tell how boring the weather in the NW is simply by noting how infrequently this forum gets touched! Just been up Frodsham Hill in the forlorn hope of catching any activity storm wise (as usual it never materialised) and I have to say, even by our standards today is utterly utterly miserable....Light rain, gusty wind and feeling very cold for June. Didn't have any measuring equipment up there but I'd be surprised if it was hitting 12-13c!! This shot of Liverpool Airport from the hill pretty much sums up everything that is wrong about the weather round here. Lol.

Let's go and drown our sorrows in the NSC for another year...We won't see anything this summer! Good luck to those in with a shout
