  1. Gorgeous day yesterday, today back down to Earth with a crash! Overcast and windy, but feeling mild. Rain earlier now cleared.
  2. Gorgeous couple of days here, with yesterday turning out better than Monday. Looks like back to normality now though haha. Feeling fresh with a brisk wind and overcast, Rain this morning now cleared. Looks brighter to my east.
  3. Same here, turned into a pleasant afternoon. Very nice in fact!
  4. Same here, was worried with all the morning cloud we had but cleared nicely now :-)
  5. Scorcher, welcome to my world! We are west of you and yes, the cloud appears to be thickening up here and heading your way. Very disappointing so far!
  6. High level cloud increasing, disappointing start (considering the glut of sunny reports on here!) and hoping for better later! temp still hovering round 10-11c with the sun struggling to get through. Picture taken at 09:52am (as proof) so still plenty of time....hopefully....... Edit: showing some improvement in brightness now. Fingers crossed.
  7. Have to say, disappointing start to the Bank Holiday, started with hazy sunshine but now high level cloud(alto-stratus?) is ruining the party, giving a featureless white sky and making it feel decidely cool. Hoping the sun can burn through later and things warm up. Will be gutted if we miss out on the decent weather (again) Posted picture taken at 09:52am as proof because apparently I falsify my weather reports.................................................................
  8. Started cool, currently 9c, bright but with high white cloud giving hazy sunshine. Looks like it will probably burn off once temperatures increase later.
  9. Cloudy start, but hoping for improvement later, feeling mild at 11c, wind westerly and fairly calm Seeing as now I feel I have to go someway to proving that my reports aren't falsified...picture taken at 8.55am facing south. Same looking north, east or west! If I get blue skys and sunshine later (it's in the Met forecast for us today) I will post a picture of that too...
  10. It's cleared a bit now I will grant you, and calmed down a bit but I will also state that at about 3pm it was a: very cloudy and b: very windy here.
  11. Ahhh, Cheshire has had it's one nice day of the year out of 365 and normal service has today been resumed. No sun, cloudy and threatening rain but not actually having the inclination to be anything other than just dull. And windy too. Very windy today!
  12. Cloudy, dull and overcast here today, although admittedly a bit warmer than of late. Another day in paradise....
  13. Getting beyond a joke this now...zero hours sunshine again today, bleak overcast greyness and struggled to get above 8-9c...intermittent rain, and feeling colder in the wind. Feeling more like January than virtually May. Horrible feeling we are actually stuck with this for the rest of 2013....
  14. From yesterday...now there's something we haven't seen in about ooo....8 months! Bit of blue sky and a nice bit of convection!
  15. Lol, CreweCold, we are both going to get chucked off here for being Netweathers Grumpy Old Men haha but let's face it....it's getting beyond a joke in this part of the world. I would actually be pleased with a good downpour right now, proper heavy rain...but the weather seemingly for the past 12 months seems to have consisted of depressingly dull, overcast conditions, generally cool (we dropped to 9c here this afternoon-it felt like late January in the wind!) Rain when it has rained consists mainly of drizzle or light to moderate at best. Boring and mundane doesn't quite do it justice.Any rare sunshine we have seen is either very early in the morning, with it invariably clouding over at around 2pm...or very late evening when it's far too cool to enjoy it. The other feature recently is how windy it has been, even on the "nicer" days. I was out at about 3pm this afternoon and it's cold enough to see one's breath. It's really getting to me now haha! Does this picture pretty much fit with you too?
  16. Haha, trust me, the spell of Easterly predominating weather that we have endured up until the last ten days or so brought nothing but cloud to us, any sunshine has been scattered and very inconsistent. We have had some Atlantic based weather that freshened things up a little but now seem to be back to square one.
  17. Very overcast, light rain and feeling cool and decidely un-springlike... currently 12c. Zero sunshine so far
  18. Coming from Stephens neck of the woods I can vouch for hardly anything looking "spring-like" round here. We have oak trees nearby that are still completely bare, and I feel the combination here of lower than average temperatures coupled with a drastic lack of sunshine has had a major negative impact on our spring.
  19. And yet another day of overcast, wet, cold dross round here today. Starting to despair of ever seeing some decent consistent sunshine and warmth again around these part! This is how April last year panned out and with literally a handful of exceptions, we have been pretty much stuck with this muck ever since. Frustrated...
  20. Being in Stephen's part of the world I can vouch for the fact that hardly anything has started to leaf around here, I've never seen our garden/ the general environment looking so barren and wintry, looking out it seriously could be late Feb rather than late April, I've never known such a late start to spring. I feel it's not just the unusually low general temperatures though, but also a drastic lack of sunshine round here, will have to check out the sunshine average for March and April. Another day of zero sunshine today, overcast with light rain and nudging 11c.
  21. Facebook is full of it this morning...."Gorgeous day" "Beautiful sunshine blah blah blah.." does seem to be a definite NW/SE split in the good weather recently... ie: the SE gets the good weather and we get more of this same cloudy, damp dross that we have pretty much had consistently since er....last April..really getting me down now
  22. 7c Rainy start, eased off now but staying very overcast and feeling cold.
  23. Another incredibly dull and overcast start to the day. 7c but feeling colder in the wind. Anyone else concerned that this is going to be the story of our summer in these parts?
  24. Yet another grey, dull and cold start to the day. 7c and no sign of sun.
  25. Yet another rather dull, cold start to the week for us here, we truly seem to be locked into a never ending pattern here at the moment. Currently 8c and feeling more like October atm. Can't remember such an annoyingly dull sequence of weather!
