I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad, What is it with this area. Big storms reported the night before last in N Wales Connahs Quay area ten miles away, and absolutely nothing here...again. And today is a repeat of all of this week, no sun just a blanket of featureless grey cloud and and not enough heating to kick anything off. Arrrgh. Someone please give me some hope today...(skulks off to be miserable in The No-Storms Club...)
I am living in the dullest part of the UK weatherwise!

I have just read a very ominous post on one of the other weather related forums basically saying that the chances of this hot humid spell going out with a bang have practically gone, and to expect nothing more than a gradual change to cooler fresher weather, as it (the electrical breakdown) supposedly happened last Thursday (hmmmm must have slept through that one as I didnt see or hear a damn thing!)
What a joke!
I am sharing your frustration. Sick of this weather, no sun , just hot humid and very very dull and overcast! AND NO STORMS (and it seems that the rest of the country is getting its fair share) Thursday will be a let down, in our area at least...
Yep just looking and today was a 76% chance for us in this location! And absolutely nothing doing and nothing on the horizon. Overcast and hot and thats it. Thursday is 41%, so no bloody chance...

Temp dropping, zero convection, just a dull blanket of cloud here. No chance of breaking out of the club today.
-
Absolutely no activity here at the moment, so looks like another no-show for us. Some blue sky showing but mostly overcast and temp only at 21 or 22
-
Wondering what the chances are for my area. Can't remember the last time we had a proper storm. Met Office are showing a flash warning at 80% confidence but I am taking that with a big pinch of salt. Dull and overcast at the moment, with not much heating.

Short burst of showery rain has stopped now. Im afraid I think thats it for us today...
-
Some heavy showers but nowt else so far...
-
Got some hail now too...heading into the garden with the camera...

LOL...spoke too soon! First rumble to the SE
Nothing showing on radar though which is odd....maybe I was mistaken...
Hmmm...its very very quiet in here today lol!

Damn...looked promising here before but now the temp is plummeting and it looks like we are going to be left with a typical Ellesmere Port day...dull, cloudy, no rain. Was getting my hopes up before...grrr.

Gloomy, overcast, cool. Just had a sharp torrential downpour lasting about 5 minutes. Very depressing weather today...
-
Overcast, 14c and cool.
Not great. Don't think we will see any action this afternoon.

Been overcast all day here, just starting to clear now with small patches of blue sky. Not got above 16 degrees and felt cool in the wind
-
9 degrees c , with 100% cloud cover and drizzle/ light rain
absolutely horrible, feels like winter!
-
9 Degrees C here, 100% cloud cover, constant drizzle.
Nice

Coming from my neck of the woods I just assumed the smell was something Shell Stanlow was kicking out until I saw the news etc. Its a really horrible, heavy sulphur smell here , making me feel sick. Disgusting. This weather is really depressing as well, cloudy cold no rain- just dull and boring B)

Share everyones frustrations in here....apparently plenty of action in Connahs Quay area N.Wales on tuesday night, here we are ten miles away and not a peep...! Just the same old dirty grey blanket of cloud we have had all week, and no sign again of anything kicking off. I wouldn't mind, its hot but its not even sunny, I think Ive seen the sun twice this week. just dull and uncomfortable. I hate the weather in this area, it must be the countries most boring surely...?
