  1. 38mm here today which is pretty impressive. 72mm for the month.
  2. Could well be a snowless calender year here. Didn't get any snow beyond the end of December last year, so all it needs is to not snow in November and December which shouldn't be too hard. Last December was amazing, driving here on Sunday 19th from Wales, the temp didn't get above -2C apart from going over the Sever Bridge when it reached 0C. I wish we could have more winter days like that, but i'm sure most people couldn't think of anything much worse, boo to them!
  3. I'd like to see the day the Express headline read 'AVERAGE SUMMER ON THE WAY', or 'HOTTEST SUMMER EVER A REMOTE POSSIBILITY AS WITH EVERY OTHER YEAR' Also, why is Fahrenheit used when talking about high temperatures? In the winter you never see 'Temperatures might plummet to a bone numbing 10F!'
  4. Haven't heard any thunder for at least half an hour, and it doesn't seem like there is anything more of interest.
  5. Thanks. Found the one I was looking for, but doesnt seem to include many strikes over the UK Pretty much...
  6. Yeah I can see something to the west (a cloud I believe they call it), with rain/hail shafts, and another big 'cloud' almost directly above me. What direction is the wind at cloud level?
  7. Has anyone got a link to the page with an animation of sferics over uk/europe over the last 24 hours or so? I remember seeing it last year...
  8. In one of the least thunder and lightning prone parts of the country What are chances of any good storms tomorrow? Netweather GFS says 81% chance of letdown storms...
  9. Why does the GFS always ludicrously over do the storm chance? I think if it was divided by 10 it would be more close to the mark on most days.
  10. Is it possible for it to be sunny and relatively cool during summer, a bit like this week?
  11. Just a quick question from an idiot. What is with the spreading slurry over fields? They've done it near here the past few days, and unsurprisingly it stinks. It's funny, i thought the model output discussion was the only place where the thread degrades into people talking about sh**!
  12. I don't see anywhere in Wales getting anywhere near -18C, back in the fridge would be more appropriate given the temps!
  13. Nice page, but as soon as they mention somewhere outside North America they get it wrong! That's Ireland, not the UK!
  14. I've never understood, now do north-east facing gullies get filled with snow when the winds are westerly?
  15. Amazingly Craig Evans was only 0.2C out, and that was 0.2C too low!
