Its been quite a task of wandering around in mobile phone shops, fending off contract hungry sales agents and browsing the internet for a low cost, affordable but great way of checking the internet wirelessly while on the move. Chasing perhaps storms and bad weather or just to be able to keep up to date on how the weather will be + all other browsing. I was searching mobile phone contracts that would let me browse the internet for a fixed monthly fee without any browsing limitations but had not been able to find one. I've signed up to a contract on a blackberry phone with internet access only tariff but everything is too small to really get a proper idea of whats going on, I can't zoom in to a web page and can be time consuming scrolling down a whole page even in preview mode to get where I wanna be. It has a 25mb limit before extra charges are applied. Basically I'll be taking it back within the 14 day get out rule. I wish I'd seen the mobile internet for laptops sooner with the data card then I would have had alot less hassle. Ok I need to buy a laptop but now I'm much happier with the knowledge that the only one for £30 a month which is from vodafone has a large 3gb maximum per month. The others I've seen had no limits. I'm assuming some people have this to help with their stormchasing so if anyone has any comments about how well it runs and from what network I'd be grateful to hear from them. Things like coverage etc. Does the card fit in compact laptops?
