  1. If anyone is interested, the Osprey Tour nr Wareham have released more tickets this morning. We thought we'd missed out this year, but have just snapped some up. Home - Birds of Poole Harbour WWW.BIRDSOFPOOLEHARBOUR.CO.UK
  2. jy It has gone downhill. Drove by the old brewery last Friday. Said the same to the OH. Once found Old Thumper in a supermarket in California. Apparently, they had an American brewer for a while, before he went back and brewed it under license.
  3. jy oh yeah, know the horse and groom well. You're close to Lyme then. Beware of the Seagulls and those temps in the 80's.
  4. Dorsetbred Alas, despite my optimism we're back under cloud. Don't tell jy, but Fordingbridge looks like it's currently bathed in Sunshine. Ha. Now the rain is pitter pattering on the sail.
  5. Now I'm sat five miles north, nr Salisbury Cathedral, waiting for the Mrs; under a big dark cloud. Not a hint of brightness.
  6. Dorsetbred No need to destroy the whole radar. We'd only need to chop down the side that doesn't work. While you're here... got another 9 bags of horse compost in the car again earlier. The girl on the till knows what I'm buying and the loading lad starts shifting them as soon as I rock up, now.
  7. Andy Bown It's the West Dean radar site Andy. If you look on Google earth, there's a large copse of trees literally to the East of the site. Which is exactly the direction of the dodgy returns... It's been like it for years. Christ knows why they haven't popped along with a chainsaw, or even why it went so close in the first place.
  8. jy The boss has just told me I have more important things to do tomorrow than fitting more water butts. Denied Have fun in Somerset. Send us a postcard.
  9. Horrible day. Looks like more rain to come overnight, so water butt no.3 has now been hooked up. Going for 3 out of 3 and I reckon I've cleared space for one more.
  10. That was good fun. Quite the light show from 2:30am to 4am. All CC, lighting up the sky. Lots of rain, so took refuge in the greenhouse.
  11. Andy Bown Yes, it's just passed to the North of here, heading your way Andy. We have another cell approaching from the SE. Nothing to snap though. It's just lighting the whole sky up. In the greenhouse, cos it's tonking it down.
  12. Dorsetbred There's a what now? Few spots around now. Hoping to get in the garden in a bit, but might be a greenhouse sess.
  13. A few spots of rain first thing, but the band of light rain is out to the West. Plenty of Undulatis to the South followed me home.
  14. *Stormforce~beka* Looks like it. Anything flashy would be v early morning. I won't be getting up, that's for sure.
  15. Looking ahead to tomorrow night's rain and potential storms later on... It's a funny old track, heading NW.
  16. *Stormforce~beka* It's on its way to you. Lovely here now. Just put two bags of horse compost on the beds in the greenhouse. It's 22C in there now, so it stinks.
  17. Water butt gone from empty to overflowing overnight. Just switched down pipe to fill the other one. It feels cold out there too. Only 6.2C in the greenhouse.
