Would be lovely, if there was one. Feels so humid, a nice breeze would be welcome.....so would a storm
That's what's preventing the storms forming this far east!

Watching the rain n clouds out west is quite depressing, even north Norfolk is getting some action. The triangle remains storm free (along with the east of the Anglia)
Sea breeze.

ITS GROUNDHOG DAY Tomorrow - Yay
More lovely storms for the NW, Midlands, Wales and Ireland
We should have some rain on Thursday though, as I understand it. Does that agree with your assessment?

Dan Holley on Twitter has mentioned that the showers in Norfolk are staying inland due to an onshore breeze, hence why they're all just to my west.

There does seem to be more showers about today
Storm kicking off in Norfolk now
Edit:Nottingham too.
Sadly, I'm too far east in Norfolk - the activity is west of here. Can see some impressive towering cumulus from here, though.

Everything is developing to my west - I wonder if the atmosphere here is slightly less conducive to convection?

Cells close-ish to my west, but nothing here.

Agree Lance
Lots of time left yet though for the atmosphere to destabilise but I think Southerlies further West over London coming up against Easterlies down the Thames Estuary will be the Initiation Zone if any CZ can form
Any chance in my area, do you think?

Broads and coast are going to have a reasonable amount of rain.

The soil moisture-deficit around here is really quite worrying: despite repeated downpours, of late, the soil, once you get down past 3", is still as dry as a bone...Lots more rain required!
Indeed, but most here don't seem to realise this!

Evening all
Like many others, a significant thunderstorm passed through late afternoon bringing some welcome rain.
I think there was some embedded hail but not much but it was curious in that the day has been cool and windy and not the conditions from which you would expect a summer downpour to materialise.
That little secondary LP which has zipped down over the Wash and across North Norfolk has packed a punch..
Didn't realise it was a secondary low.

Certainly looks like wet snow to me!
I live only around 4 miles from there, and I'm sure it wasn't snow.

Here’s a video of the storm coming through Barnet, North London! Some of the heaviest hail I’ve seen! The odd flash of lightning and rumble of thunder now as the rest passes through.
Impressive! More intense than what we had here yesterday.

It's rain/hail in slow motion..
I know where he lives (not in a threatening way LOL) and they had it worse than us.

Huge swathe of storms heading east from beds to herts. Been thundering here in Stevenage for over half hour on and off
Certainly appears lively on radar!

Sunny spells now, showers hit and mostly miss as they reach Norfolk. Still waiting for that first barely audible rumble of 2020....
You're likely to get wet shortly...
