-5.3c here. Believe that's the coldest night so far this autumn winter. Everything is frozen outsude

Just woke up (not on perpose) and it looks very cold out there. Looks like sheet ice, roads are wet looking but temperature it around -1c still. Cars are white from ice not snow. Radar not showing anything but bbc still show a lil precip over SE Wales won't amount to anything I just want to see snow falling from the sky for the first time this season

Temp rose to 2c half an hour ago. Just plummeted to -1.3c so roads will become damgerous out there now. Sets up nicely if we get a little snow to settle

It was nothing to get excited about just a few flakes in the Rain. Mostly rain. Temp on the rise again here now.

Just got home and looked at my weather station. Has a snow symbol and temperature just 0.9c so could see some snow. Ground very wet tho. Already seen sleet. Temp falling gradually since I got home 30 mins ago from 1.4c First time I seen a snow symbol since Feb

Sleeting here right now. I'm up my gfs in Llantrisant about to head home soon. Car says 2c. I expect it's a degree colder where I live. Very heavy

Just above freezing here at 0.2c and falling. Any showers expected to come inland tonight? Could well be wintry here with temperature close to freezing. Not getting too excited for the next few weeks because I don't want to be bitterly disappointed when nothing comes off so just being cautious. Would love to see some snow we only had 1 day of snow last year and it was like a flash in a pan, only had about 1 inch of snow and it was gone by the evening, cant remember what month it was probably Feb. Haven't seen a large amount of snow here since 2010 so I really hope we get at least 1 event where we get a good 6+inches of snow. I hope it comes before Christmas and lasts right up until the big day Would be fantastic. Could do with an extra week off from Uni too to give me some more time to get all these assignments done which are due in January!

down to 1.4c here now and falling so I expect it to go below freezing here tonight. BBC Weather said a min of 4c, so already well below that.

This cold spell looks like it's going to be epic. Hopefully that snow event does happen on Saturday and Sunday which will help entrench the cold and when that clears the temperatures will just plummet away (and we'll keep all the snow) - gfs has mins around -6c across huge sways of the country with maximums not really getting above 0c after that front clears (still a week away so...) but it's looking good.

I find it shocking how some are already writting off the winter. It's still early November and already there has been snow as far south as the west country! I live in Wales and we've had wintry weather. Snow, hail, sleet, rain you name it. Also the tempertures here by night in the rural areas such as mine have been below freezing on many occasions over the last 2 weeks. In fact it's -1.6c right now. It NOVEMBER 5TH! Chill out people. The auturm period has been decently cold so far. Put it this way the weather atm is far colder than this time last year.

I remember snow around the November 15th time here in SE Wales? I must of been about 12 at the time so I can't really remember. Also November 2010 towards the end of the month we saw snow like most did in Wales.

already down to 3.5c at 9pm. Might dip down close to zero or slightly below at this rate. Cold for time of year

Weather Channel reporting that the storm will push in around 6pm EST which is good news because high tide around NYC is not until 9pm so the effect will not be so strong with the storm surge. The storm is now pushing in at 28mph NW.

13.1c please (just out of summer hibernation)

Havent seen 30c here in Cardiff in a long long time now well not since 2007. Warmest we've seen is 27c, top temp last year was 25c. Hope to see 30c this year, would love to have a hot summer, I would say 20c this month, maybe this week, 25c around May 5th and 30c at end of June.

My main worry now is freezing rain... I'm not even attempting to drive on that. The upper air obviously too warm for snow in Wales but my temp is 0.3% now. Things will start turning to ice.....
