    I'm staying at my gfs in llantrisant. Met office just updated. Snow at 9 tonight. Snow from 6 til 12 tomz.nheavy snow all day Friday until 3am Sat

    It's probably just them hopping everything heads to the East/SE England again so they get the snow while we get rain. I ignore the model thread there is too much conflict and too much SE bias in there. Generally you get some good guy who's post some realistic charts from models in here to tell us what's actually happening in Wales.

    If anyone has a smartphone I recommend downloading the MetOffice Application for my location it has heavy snow from 09:00 Friday and snowing non stop until Saturday at 18:00 I have an Iphone don't know if the app is different on other smart phones.

    I've noticed with Derek he likes to avoid the snow forecasts. I can remember when we've had snow and hes got his forecast completely wrong. He doesn't like to venture there at all. Ian on the other hand clearly loves the cold and snow and will not shy away from telling the public what might happen.

    Just been out to check the conditions. My parents not letting me drive this morning. Gonna go to Uni as soon as its warmed up a it if it does. Im only in until 1 anyway so it might not b worth travelling all the way there. Everything is sheet ice. The dusting of snow is frozen solid. It's probably more lethal than having 6inches of snow to drive on.

    Wow could you imagine 10- 20cm on Friday and then even more on Saturday. The snowspell could end next monday for all I care if we get that. Would be the biggest amount of snow I woulda seen in my 18 years.

    Temperature has fallen to -0.3c from over 1.0c about 2 hours ago. Started as sleet/rain then quickly turned to snow. Lovely.

    Radar suggests its going to stop soon but it was nice:) about half an inch settled!
