Well it's colder than predicted. 3.9c. Slowly falling. Raining. Still it's about 2c colder than metoffice predicted

Thursday would be amazing if it was to verify. 1 week away tho so unlikely to happen:) I'm sure we'll have snow by then anyway. Also it brings the Atlantic in ending the cold spell (I think correct me if wrong) so even tho 1 hell of an amazing breakdown it would end the spell?

Just heard about what happened this morning. Hope it doesn't happen again. We are Welsh and British. We shouldn't have hatred towards our English neighbors we are 1 United Kingdom. Surely the summer of sport & the jubilee made it clear that Welsh people are proud to be British. I know I am. The only time I'm anti-English is when the rugby is on!

Far better forecast. Giving viewers a better idea of what might happen instead of other bbc forecasters who seem to be reluctant to be their head on the line and talk about what the models are showing. National BBC forecast and Welsh one is useless tonight.

Not having a go at you I watched the forecast my self and they are going against everything the models are saying. It bugging me lol

What the hell is BBC weather on about? Everything is looking like severe cold and snow and they don't even mention it. It's only a few days away! People need some sort of warning.

The GFS is pretty much perfection for Wales. Would be a wonderful time if it happened.

If this keeps appearing Met Office will be giving early warnings for snow soon hopefully

Hello! Wales on Monday!

Looks like we are going to have a post-Christmas cold snap. Cold air flowing down from the north (northerly blasts deliver better for Wales than Easterly) followed by some brief milder air then when that low edges across the UK more cold air comes down from the north. That's what the the GFS is showing. Hopefully we'll continue seeing upgrades. Christmas is looking a lot colder than it did a few days ago. There won't be snow on Christmas but looks much more promising the days following Christmas IMO. Saying that GFS showing milder weather edging in around 29th but hopefully it will change.

-5.1c here and falling very gradually. Cold night. Even some frost on the window.

Looking at the gfs it just looks like the block is never too far away and we will see periods of cold like the next few days followed by a few milder days then followed by cold again with each one looking colder. Another easterly showing on GFS now, in FI tho but that's how I see things. We've had snow here recently but it was the smallest of dustings not notable at all. We'll be lucky eventually I think we're likely to see at least 1 good spell of cold snowy weather this season even if it doesn't last very long

So the cold snap begins lets hope it leads to some snow! Temperature just slipped below 0c here. -0.4C

Encouraging to know it can snow at 1:30 in the afternoon when the temps are generally at their highest.

Still nice to see. Don't kno the temp here my weather station is at home. My gf lives near talbot green retail park it's not particularly high up. I live on much higher ground. There was a dusting here yesterday too

Strange. It's sunny but snowing at same time. Well was snowing. Only light stuff. Clouds going through quickly. Oh snowing again now. Stopping and starting. Keep an eye out

So what's with this snow? Is it expected to warm up n these showers turn to rain or are the showers going to stop. It's falling as snow so could have another dusting like yesterday maybe?
