  8. The sleet and rain has passed here but other places on the IOW have seen some snow, but it is quite misty here though and chiily. anyway models look good for next week hopefully.
  9. Thing is with the Island, it can be so unpredictable here and can a pain to forecast here aswell, but someone said to me that because of being on the coast sometimes the sea can make the PPN rates even heavier, thats just what this guy told me and hes also really good with the weather and lives on the IOW too. Though one thing i do love about this place also, is the thunderstorms and the views i get here for viewing the lightning whether its far out to sea or over us and they tend to be big.
  10. lol, its not that its annoyed me jsut feel a bit gutted thats all, I cant really complain i suppose after last week, that was just the best ever there was 7ft drifts in some places on the Island from that event and Huge Icicles, being only 16 years of age i think last week will take some beating. I think where its a strong SE wind and im on the east coast im getting the mildness of the sea , but when its an Easterly we get snow anyway. I reckon if the winds were lighter it might of been snow i reckon because temps were quite low anyway.
  11. Unfortunatly im on east coast of the IOW and everywhere apart from the East and South Coast of the Island has had Snow which has even settled apparently, but just sleet here
  12. Well i think the best we can do is keep our fingers crossed
  13. Its not much but i noticed on the radar that little somet had developed over the IOW on raintoday, am looking up at the lampost and i can see some flakes falling, but with a bit of sleet in it too.
  14. Well closest to me is 2.2c with Dewpoint of -0.3c aybut just a mile or 2 away south from that is 1.7c, so maybe a bit of wet snow snow at best me thinks

  17. This might be a silly thing but im just wondering whether its the sea that makes the precip rate get a tad heavier, dont know why but it seemed to do that the other ay aswell.
  18. LOL yup we certainly have, and i can confirm it is getting heavier
  19. Yeh i noticed that too, i hadnt long got back from my dads and aunties party as there twins but nothing there in shanklin at like 10-pm on raintoday the band is growing even bigger:D
  20. I hope so, some nice flakes too, where abouts are you on the Island and how much are u getting?
  21. I cant believe this, i just looked at the radar and from absolute nowhere snow has developed right over us and is now snowing quite nicely
  22. Just looking at raintoday and it showes snow creeping ever so near to us. We already had a flurry this morning so my fingers are crossed
  23. well anything is possible in the weather which is why i love it so much I think we will see snow tomorrow night into sunday, It does look cold enough and i think uppers look cold enough too . Met office temperature forecast has the IOW on 0c for tomorrow night so that should be cold enough. thats if we get any this way which i think we will. Fingers crossed
