  1. I'm in the US for 2.5 weeks but 9/10 days dedicated to chasing, flying into Denver. I don't limit myself with where I'm going, as long as I'm back towards Denver by the 30th!
  2. Looks like we're finally going to get the first spring-like week of the year, just a couple of weeks before summer starts
  3. Will be my first potential chase day this time next week, hopefully the upcoming shut down in activity will be short-lived.
  4. Really not convinced tomorrow will be much better, there may be a window mid-afternoon before the frontal crap comes in but that's about it. Mayvember rolls on!
  5. I'll be sleeping between nights so doesn't bother me either way, but for many it won't be a totally sunny day tomorrow. A lot of cloud will linger through the morning, but thankfully it will brighten up by afternoon.
  6. This is the lightest November evening I can ever remember!
  7. In a spring of misery, today has to be one of the worst days. Raining, windy and 11C. Genuinely considering putting the heating on as we're increasingly getting damp issues in the house.
  8. Likely only going to be more topsy turvy as climate change increasingly takes hold, sadly. Fingers crossed we get a lovely, warm and mostly dry summer.
  9. As I'm on night shifts I'm not too upset about the weekend going downhill at least
  10. Tomorrow has gone from pleasantly warm and sunny, to gloomy, to raining all in a few days. This spring is just the pits.
  11. Nobody, just feel that misleading comments need calling out on!
  12. Indeed. I wouldn't recommend US storm chasing to anyone moaning already
  13. Almost, the dates are offset by a day though. e.g. the high for 8th May on that table is actually the high for the 7th.
  14. GFS has two days next week where it doesn't even get into double figures here.
  15. The 6th had a max of 14.5C as well, not 17.9C. Our data feeds at work from the Met Office agree that 15C is the max.
  16. We have a similar issue with our allotment. We've got so many things waiting to go in the ground but have had to wait for the cold nights to finish. And even then, most days have had grim weather. An added complication is that we're off to the US for a few weeks on 20th May so we're really going to struggle to get things sorted.
  17. I'm far from a warm enthusiast and don't cope well with anything above the high 20s, but this has been the most depressing spring I can remember. It honestly hasn't even felt as if the clocks have gone forwards yet.
  18. The EC has 30-50mm widely across Britain for the next 10 days, that's poor in my book. There are 2 days in the entire run where the weather is reliably dry (plenty of days of sunshine and heavy showers, but you can't exactly plan outdoor activities with that sort of forecast), and even then the temperatures are distinctly average.
  19. What an appalling outlook. Will be off to the US for storm chasing in a couple of weeks, can't come soon enough.
  20. For the avoidance of doubt, statements claiming that a season is a write off if it isn't any good after two weeks are absolute nonsense.
  21. Speaking of Heathrow, might finally snag the first 20C there today.
  22. Certainly feels pleasant enough out there to be fair, I think this spring has been so dire that even low teens feels nice in the sun.
