Yep 2000 my wettest year down here,1022mm between sep-dec, and I didn't have a 5" gauge then so was probably more.
theres a place near weymouth a camp site say 3 miles outside of weymouth near the sea front. say late 90s i walked down the cliff to the bottom via steps to get to the sea front. went bk there in 2001, the whole cliff had caved in with all that rain during thoughs months.
i don't know if you any of you know of it. I think it is in exmouth not sure though. theres a cottage right on the edge of the cliff. you can see it on the sea front. talking 10 years ago just wondered if any of you know if its still there. looked like one drop of wind it would fall off it lol
Ian Don't tell me you go to clarks Village ha ha

Fair enough, give or take the odd flash flood (I'm still selling the rights to my video of that )It's fairly boring weatherwise but zonal is allways more intresting here!
classic zonal. think bk to late 2000. just what it can do.
i can remember seing system after system from october 2000 onwards, kinda like this past november but worse.

Thanks, even down this far?
The GFS PPN charts are useless at this range, so I'd go with what the Met are saying.
yes but it seem very light and generally gfs aint very gd at plotting where it will fall. it is messy but a general picture of what could happen. as some have said get a general idea closer the time and when NAE model comes into it
top up any how. even 3cm, 4cm will make me happy. cnt see much melting happening next few days anyway
-
What was the forecast?
Glad you have the snow at last!
going for big snowfall. but gfs looks light but prolonged.
-
if theres no melt at all upto sunday then a top up. blimey this could get gd.
btw did u see parts up north snow half covering wheels . double that next week or so. 1963!!!

well according to Carol Kirwood ...no problem with temp;s or the spread of how much snow, including Kazz,
So Im not worried as ITS a developing front and should Intensify later with up to 18=24 hrs ish of snow
get your sledges out...and as BBC said make sure you take a shovel..BBC words not mine
carol just said 10 INCHES

David I would take no notice of that snow depth..
already Wigan in parts as 3 inches and down South will have it worse
snowing heavy in Leeds
