maybe in the morning????/ there is a gd chance all of somerset get snow at some point. which is fab. looks like a gd time ahead. wednesday gfs have snow all day pretty much quite amazing

looks better for snow in the west on the 00z on tuesday wednesday and thursday. i wouldnt have a clue how much they would bring but at least theres a chance to see some. very cold outlook indeed.

Britain facing one of the coldest winters in 100 years, experts predict
Britain is bracing itself for one of the coldest winters for a century with temperatures hitting minus 16 degrees Celsius, forecasters have warned.
Weather patterns were more like those in the late 1970s, experts said, while Met Office figures released on Monday are expected to show that the country is experiencing the coldest winter for up to 25 years.
The Met Office said it expected to see prolonged periods of snow across southern and central England on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Wales and northern and eastern areas of the UK will continue to endure freezing temperatures as low as -9C and sporadic snowfall this weekend.

Any reports of recent snowfall in somerset?
just before christmas places got a few cms other then that very poor snowise!!. wats annoying is that theres been chances of snow but its been rain!!!!!

its a dieing machine be lucky to get anything here to be honest at least bristol had there far amount this winter already. south somerset southwards has been poor so far.

Thanks Ian, pretty much sums up the weather for our neck of the woods over the next week or so in you first pargraph. Snow in the north & east, dry & cold every where else. Anyy precip that does turn up down her like to be of rain?

I reckon snow and TS are the hardest thing's to get correct in this country.
They were vague because they are not 100 per cent sure....

the problem is the uppers are to high. wait until thursday- friday we might get lucky.
the amin belt looks like it wants to go south east which is dissapointing on the 18z but still time to change. big change from the 12z whole lot moved south. 00z i hope the 850s coming down the the m4 corridor and bring us a pasting finally. lol looks cold 4 a little while by the looks of it

I think it's forecast to hit BTL and then Glos in the early hours and hanging around your area for much of tomorrow.

maybe sleet on the mendips. if it starts snowing it be back to rain so please nobody expect anything round here. wednesday-thursday im hoping we will be rewarded for our efforts

same here!!!! seriously not good for us south west again at the moment!!! anyway the snow forecast is for it to turn to rain so no harm done anywhere near here.
