    i would say it is snowing moderatley here in worthing at sea level but i wouldnt class it as heavy!

    snowing and settling on the grass temp is 0 here in west sussex

    sleety snow here on the south downs on west sussex temp about 0.2 at the monent loads of water laying if it snows heavy now and freezes things are going to be hazardous here!

    winds are already coming down from the north across much of southern britain wouldnt suprise me if by dawn that the whole band of rain falls as snow as the air will be getting colder throught the night!

    bbc not giving much detail for far south east so looks like they are unsure! wahts the betting we all end up with a covering again tommorrow in the south east!

    i think the north midlands are in for a real pasting tonight and tommorow heavy ecoes in the radar now coming up the channel!

    it will quickly turn to rain washing the snow away no need to be concerned milder air is spreading up with the rain!

    i would expect that low to start trecking north now! meaning london prob wont get hit!

    imagine if we do get another 15 - 30 cm in the south east that will be well good after 20 years!

    the only possibility i can see is that the precip below pushes east and if you look at the wind charts on the meto site it shows winds will be w or sw so i would say there is a small chance of it pushing east! 1430 1500 1530 1600 1630 1700 1730 1800 1830 1900 1930 2000 2030

    rubbish where did you get that info from? wheres the precip coming from?

    well not looking good for commuters going to work on fri morning! brian glaize from the weather outlook is predicting southern britain could get another 20cm of snow on fri! and last week he predicted the biggest snow fall since 1991 for today! he seems quite confident but at the moment it is a moderate risk! intresting times ahead.

    not expecting any snow in the south tonight now maybe some heavy wintry showers along the southdowns tommorow!

    come on its got to be on its way to worthing we are just 10 miles down the road!

    we had some brief moderate snow showers early evening since then we have just had a few very light snow showers here in sussex nothing more than a dusting at the moment hoping that something a bit heavier and persistant will develop!
