what a roller coaster day and i am going to go to bed very confused! is west sussex going to get snow tommorow night/wed what about the weekend! its all seems confusing to me by the latest charts!

bbc south 2day absoloute rubbish forecast to what i see from the met office! where do they get there info from the whole of the bbc has been rubbish lately! my local forecast saying rain and 4 degrees east of the isle of wight tommorow? metoffice say snow and just snow and max of 2 degrees! rest of the week bbc going for sunny skies lol! met office saying further snow falls! if i was every body i would not take not of local bbc forecasts because they seem to change the charts so aften and get it wrong! keep tuned to the metoffice my advice!

the latest fax charts show the south coast have the potential at the moment to be hit hard tommorow night but it is by no means nailed yet! it could stay to the west or go slightly further east but it looks like a good covering for most of southern britain including the south east! i here things are back on for fri/ sat event by the looks of the ECM!

i dont know why people can be so down beat in the south east about 1 run it still gives plenty of potential snow fall from wed- sat! so would we want a major snow storm after all of that snow? any way its one run and the snow storm could be back on tommorrow runs?

Hi Neilsouth, did they mention the south east may see snow showers tommorow afternoon and eve?

same here! wednesday to me looks the best chance! then the showers after that are to unpredictable to me! what i would hope for is that the run of showers would run across the south east any where east of the isle of wight! but my gut feeling is this is going to be reserved for kent!

no snow from the cold snap so far here on the downs in west sussex! trying to make out the prospects for the week ahead ECM shows huge potential while the meto further outlook goes for northern and eastern areas!

its still intensifying and effecting a wider area from 12 oclock radar!

maybe a more wet snow/sleet mix if it hits London?

meto saying we could get a few cm of light snow tommorrow! then prolonged and heavy snow by tues/wed how come they havent at least put an warning of what could happen next week! councils in this area should be prepairing them selves for servere weather!

yes the faxes do look good! people on two are saying we could get 3 - 5 cm across the south east tommorow night! intresting on the fax it shows 1 trough 2morow night and another midday sunday! really lost faith with the bbc forecasts my local forecast only mentioned a few wintry showers tonight which i cant see happening tonight! and then they said the rest of the outlook will be fine and dry + i feel they are over doing max temps they are rubbish! good luck to all for snow falls in this cold snap and Happy new year!

i was optomistic! but my hopes of snow for thursday/fri are decreasing all the time at present the fax chart is still giving me hope! hoping for the some upgrades by this time tommorow!

thursday night fri morning i would say at the moment 2 - 5 cm snow at best! really am not expecting much if any from the weather front thursday night/fri

looking at the fax chart i would say thursday night friday morning has the best chance of snow fall for the south east possibly very heavy falls thurday night!

going by the latest fax chart thursday night into fri gives the far south and south east the best chance of snow fall!

at the moment i would imagine the same area across the south east that got hit by snow on the 18th dec will get hit again late thurs/ fri maybe even more snow than the dec event but things have time to change but its looking promising :-)

what does 515 dam in the south east mean?????

thats the chart we should all be watching! i am not going with the gfs charts at all today fax chart is more reliable as with the ECM!

looking at the fax charts wednesdays poss snow event will prob not happen now as it looks to be outbreaks of light patchy rain sleet maybe snow clearing south! the good news is the low will be much further south allowing the cold air to kick in! this how i see the fax chart for wed anyway!
