not sure about this… I mean this weekend didn’t turn out cold did it!? All rain here in the west, with the odd hail shower the last few days.
-
andymusic we’ll keep our fingers crossed! Not sure I can get excited about half a centimetre. What are the temps looking like?

Bizarrely, we’ve had some drier days down west, but the ground saturation is high. How much rain can we take!?!

That’s very similar to the European weather alert system.
I find AccuWeather app is spot on. It’s postcode/geolocation based and they often put out the notification before it goes live on the metoffice website.

Storm Isha has been named and Wales will bear the brunt based on current predictions.
Anyone got any recommendations on a decent weather station? I have a mobile alerts technoline base station. Over the years the wind and temp elements have failed. Do I just buy extra parts or go for something new?

Another freezing morning with existing laying snow and ice across much of the county.
Big impacts on school closures across Pembrokeshire again today.

Looks like st davids of all places will see the first snow falling.
The radar suggests this… not sure if it’s actually happening! It’s been a bit like this winter - radar suggests precipitation, apps saying it’s snowing and nothing!

Looks like the convergence line is setting up in the Irish Sea temps and dewpoints look good I would expect a dusting in pembrokeshire tonight as the band of showers moves onshore. Just depends how intensive they become for snow depths. I would imagine the preselis will be covered.
There was a light dusting over the Cwmcerwyn this morning. Feeling colder today for a change!

Probably Thursday or Friday there will be warnings and a named storm
What’s the chances of it heading further south?
-
A light dusting here too, sticking on cars and grasses. A little unexpected as most of the precipitation went north.

I hope that storm for the weekend doesn't happen, its bad enough not getting the snow this week when it could have been so good but 80-90mph winds is pretty scary!
Is it looking that bad for us??

Latest GFS still has the Dangler tomorrow, rain / sleet likely at first low levels, but likely snow later in the day, particularly away from immediate coast.
GFS showing some more disruptive snow showers / streamers into North Wales on Thursday.
Wednesdays low still staying south on latest runs but wouldn’t be surprised if there was some light snow or flurries further ahead of the front. Not what we want but…
We’ve gone from a warning of something to nothing here over most of the west now. For all the ramping of much colder conditions from Sunday, it’s become a much slower transition. The frosts fizzled out since last Thursday. Paths are drying now too.
I’d take it over a return to wet and windy though!

A few snow showers here this morning. Did their best to stick!
-
Little in the way of wintry precipitation being predicted over the weekend. Although lots of frost and sub zero temperatures overnight.
