Not a drop here, the line has missed us by a whisker all afternoon. Typically, it's the village show on Saturday.....
-
Dry, sunny intervals and increasingly warm. Some ominous dark clouds but they've come to nothing.
-
Goodness, Tobertron, you've had three times the amount of rain I've had here today, total for the system to dark was 13.8mm.

Love looking at the rotation of the rain on the radar on days like today! Currently under some very heavy rain as the centre of the low is passing close by and gradually pivoting everything around.
So do I! Been out for the last couple of hours and been fascinated to watch the sequence to now. As you say, centre of low is pretty much over our area now. Only had 7.1mm to 09.00GMT, not checked what else has fallen since. No snap, crackle and pop...yet.

Interesting cell has been parked over the Severn Estuary for over an hour now - white in the centre of it on the radar so must be pretty intense.
Yes, I just spotted that too and playing the sequence shows that it's possibly coming SE, but it does appear to be losing some intensity.
Very warm again here, 27.5°C earlier, a lot of cloud, but nothing threatening, reasonable breeze but still feeling quite humid.
-
As usual, those cells last evening split and only gave 0.1mm, hardly enough to wet the ground.
This morning is overcast and still feeling humid, but there are some blue bits showing. The bed linen is washed and on the line, hope no more showers come by....
-
Interesting cells coming north from Portland/Weymouth way, wonder if they will veer off like the others? Another one just developing between Stur and Blandford too.

...and I've just heard thunder! Must be from that cell that's between Dorchester and Blandford.
-
Down to 30.8°C now. Watching that small cell that seems to be heading north just to the west of Weymouth....
-
31.7°c here currently, needs another 1.3 to beat the July record set in 2016.
-
Currently 31.0°C, but a bit more cloud around now. Off to check my July highest and my all time highest.....

0.6mm rain from the small cell around 23.30, then nothing except a spectacular light show to the NE/E/SE which was continuous and had distant low rumbles in. Suspect I missed some of the later lightning as out bedroom faces NE and we were able to get back to sleep shortly after midnight.
-
Just spoken to a neighbour who was in Chard around 4.30 and they had a couple of rumbles of thunder and a light shower. Cleared as quickly as it came.
Still 25.5°C here, variable cloud but nowt in the Channel to get excited about.
-
31.7°C max here, now down to 28.5°C, cloud cover all round now, still quite breezy but less humid.
-
Just a few spits and spots a minute ago, but not getting excited.
-
Think there may be proof of a lot of the rain not making the ground from the fact that at West Bay there have been folk on the beach etc all through what looked like rain on the radar. Web cam there could be interesting later too.
Complete cloud cover to S/SW/W, still clear to N/NE.

Fog cleared quickly here too, within a matter of minutes around half seven. Warming up now, almost at yesterday's max of 24.5°C already with clear blue skies.
Thanks Scott for the answer to my query yesterday. Currently no storm symbols from any source for this location, only a heavy shower one for early evening. Yet again, wait and see.

Beeb forecast has me in the firing line for tomorrow evening's entertainment, but the MetO is only showing the chance of some rain in the night. We shall see.
-
I should have kept quiet. It's been completely overcast here for a couple of hours now. Managed to get to 24.3°C, but down now to 23.1°C.

Don't get over excited, but it's raining! First this month and testing my new gauge.
